Sure we moved on Son who was on £200k pw but we have added about 4 players on £200k pw. so quite a large increase in weekly wage bill (excluding a big raise for Romero on his new contract)
But we have scope to increase our wage bill much more than any other club so its not a big issue for us as we are in a good place on wages/turnover ratio
It was an inevitable counter-ebb & flow to the successive exits of a number of older, high earners which went back to Lloris... Then Kane/Perisic and now Sonny/Werner.
It's not been a direct effort to increase the wage bill... Just like all the crap about Levy deliberately driving the wage bill down was nonsense too.
