The issue with Simons is this:
He is extreeeemely ambitious. It will be haaaaard to keep him. And that brings up the question of how is his contract written.
He might have a point to prove in Barcelona. That's his state of mind.

Is this a bot?
Don’t worry, Gentle Ben will be rampaging up the LW sooner rather than later… He’s seen as a LB in our squad.Just to add some further thoughts on to that. If Xavi is playing from the left and coming in central. And we have a right footed Spence playing LB, we will have a serious lack of width on the left side of the pitch and no overlapping runners.
I just wonder how this works in practice.
I still think we would have better balance with Xavi centrally, and an Odobert out left or something like that.
I am not sure we need three CMs and only 3 creative / attacking players.
To me that seems a bit overly defensive unless we are up against the very best sides.
That's not a problem I want players ambitious to be a success. The issue with Simons is this:

All our creativity has come from Kudus on the right, so maybe TF sees starting Xavi on the left evens things up somewhat as well.Yeah I wonder if that is how we set up v West Ham. Also let's Simons adapt to the league from a less forgiving position.
He's not a young player. He's been around. This was a major coup for THFC to get him. He is a young player but should not be considered such. Frank said that during his press conference when Xavi's transfer went through. He's like a young Christiano Ronaldo type a player. Yes, young. But huuugely talented and with enormous resume. He's by far the highest value THFC possess right now.Goood. Hopefully he can raise the overall mentality of the younger players within the squad.
Call me Mr. ITK.Something inside me thinks Micky Van de Ven is involved in letting Xavi know what a great club this is.
Or an expert on the bleedin obvious?
