I don’t like Liverpool but I would sooner them win the league than any other team with the potential to do so . Woolwich and Chelsea there is no explanation needed , City 115 charges enough said . Newcastle if they ever win it we will just drop further behind as it will create FFP wriggle room and the Saudi owners will not mess about . Finally Utd miles off and I resent the way in my view Ferguson bullied everyone during their glory years . Liverpool at least seem to be operating on a similar model to us albeit on a bigger scale .

If I had to pick any team to win the League other than us and keeping it at least a tiny bit real ,( so ruling out Leyton Orient ) I would probably go for Brighton .

I am hoping in 3 years Frank has us at peak Poch levels but is able to get us over the line . I think we would still be a very big price to achieve it and I would not place a bet at 20/1 , I would be tempted at 66/1 or bigger

Nah you had to be there for that FACup game.
Never been attacked by so many shitheads in my away career.
Thousands of the bastards.
Up there with red and blue scum for me and the survivors of that day.

For 10 years prior to the Champions League final of 2019 we finished above Liverpool regularly. This was largely due to many of their big transfers not working out (Sakho, Lovren, Lalana, Benteke). Klopp arrived and they started to hit on their big singings... Salah, Mane, VVD and they continued to hit in the transfer market... £140m for Coutinho is a great example. They have just been more effective than we have. It only takes one bad window to set you back a few years. We had ours in 2019 in an effort to close the gap on Liverpool (Ndombele, LoCelso, Sessegnon and we then added Bergwijn in Jan-20) . What we ended up doing is widening it and we've been struggling ever since.

Don’t think I said otherwise, FSG brought them back from the brink after Gillette and Hicks . They got FSG we got Sugar then ENIC sadly

Why does everyone want to play for Liverpool? What is the appeal?

City won 6 titles in 8 years, Liverpool have won 2 in 30 odd. What makes them a bigger draw then City or Woolwich?
Players grow up hearing about the great teams. Liverpool's traditions go back further. The connection between the fans and team is very strong. The grounds are famous. If a player can tell their family and friends they are signing with Liverpool it carries something that Man City doesn't. Liverpool is an historic face of the game, Man City is the corporate face of big business football. Their fans love them, but to everyone else they are a very expensive machine. As for me as a fan, I'll take Spurs. Big enough that you know they could challenge the biggest teams but quirky enough to have an identity apart from the rest.

And most of those team in the Premier League that aren't in Europe will still play weakened teams in the League Cup and FA Cup to rest players for Premier League games.
That's what got me when Ange played a weaken team against Fulham in his first year and we lost. Same position as MU are in this season with no cup games to January. Not sure if MU played their strongest team.

Eventually we will win premier league one day. Came close under poch but I do think we will win a big one, one day. We need to win a trophy this season. Anyone will do to get in habit of winning trophies. 17 years was too long.
