I’m happy Levy is gone but I will also give him credit for everything he helped build at the club.

I completely agree he held us back on the pitch. No arguments there and we all know the details.

But he made us a bigger club off the pitch and did what he’s good at and made us a self sustaining club.

Now we need someone to make us a contender on the pitch.

Wasn’t our spend pretty much in line with the previous few windows?

WIlling to break our transfer record for Savinho. Paying out of MGW's release clause. Going for Eze. Signing 4 first team players that come staright into the team. It's a complete step change from what we usually see under a Levy window. Last summer we signed Solanke. Simons on big wages on a 7 year contract.

Pretty obvious now, that Levy was not in charge of this window, in terms of budget, Yes, he was still doing the negotiating but the calibre of the players we were targeting were totally different, surely you can see that?

Really?

He done nothing...

Apart from take us to a CL final. Got us into CL consistently, nearly won the league if wasn't for some fluke BS from Leicester.

Got the fans bouncing and singing, finally seeing the Spurs be where they should have been, we wasn't a laughing stock and taken seriously for the first time in decades.

Poch did more for us than you will ever know, without winning silver wear.

He did a lot of good for the club but he also held us back in so many ways.
In Jan 2023 we needed a left winger and wanted Trossard at Brighton. Brighton wanted 25m for him but we bid £12m. We wouldn't give Brighton what they wanted so he went to that lot for £20m.
So we sign Danjuma on loan that window which didn't work out. We then sign Manor Solomon on a free the next summer which hasn't worked out. We then signed Timo Werner on loan for 18 months which took us up until end of last season. During that 2.5 years we signed 3 players trying to do it cheap and ended up spending more money in the end. While we were doing that the South London lot made the most of Trossard and if / when they want to sell him will get back a decent % of what they bought him for.
For me, this more than most bits sums up how Levys view on costs has impacted the team so much.

I know what he did, he did fuck all.

Nothing more to discuss.

Wasn’t Charrington Lewis financial advisor ?

He’s clearly come in , seen that levy has cock blocked a few financial opportunities, investment etc while taking a tidy wage & the Lewis’s have had no dividends

They’ll be selling up or a big investors who want influence .
His background is financial. It could mean a sale, but it could also be that his charge would be to work to bring in new financial backers and reform the existing structure.
