Harry had stopped pressing properly BEFORE he went to Bayern.

Not watched much of him over there but I can only assume after getting 2.5 years older he's even less inclined to press like we would want these days.

Would be a nice story to bring him back but I'm ok with it never happening.

Is that really a deal breaker? We have carried one lazy attacker for the last two years who has zero football ability, set fire to Johnson’s kit bag and bring in Kane and work around him. One luxury world class player who is economical with their effort is ok with me.

If there’s a chance, you have to sign him

I think it may be a deal breaker for me yeah but I don't really count.

It depends if Frank wants him or not.

If he wants his striker to be a press immediately, nonstop running guy then Kane isn't that anymore.

What he can do is be a better focal point than we currently have, can hold the ball up better and can obviously finish better than anyone we have.

My point is that towards the end, lots on here were getting frustrated with some of Kane's general play in some matches. All I'm saying is that I don't think the reasons for those frustrations will have gotten any better with an additional 2+ years of aging.

I'm not against the idea - I'd love my son to see Kane score some goals for Spurs - I just don't think we should let the romance of it cloud the reality.

I think even Kane would accept he’s not going to default play 95 mins every week like before, so there are games he would be sub or not play at all. Work around that. That wasn’t the case three seasons ago and he played every week, and was never subbed

Harry Kane is easily the best available striker on the entire market and if he wanted to come back, there’s no chance we could do better than him. You’d be absolutely insane to turn him down. If he’s actually willing, we roll out the red carpet and bring him back in a nanosecond. Best of all, he solves our club trained problem as well. Anyone questioning Kane has lost touch with reality entirely. You do not say no to Harry Kane.

Agree but I can see the concern re: pressing etc. 100% bring him in, but you would have to adapt your style. Worth it imo!!!

Think he was probably told to stop. Didn’t he pick up a couple of injuries whilst pressing? And he wasn’t that good at it anyway.

There was Tuchel reporting that Guehi has "a brilliant attitude" following his failed move to Liverpool. Most interesting how Glasner was so successful to keep a player despite him apparently expressing a desire to leave Crystal Palace. Or perhaps Guehi never desired to leave in the first place. Or never desired to leave for Liverpool.

That is generally a terrible sign for any and every football player. Tottenham Hotspur Football Club should only and always sign only those players that clearly and unambiguously want to be here and give it their all when playing for this club. All other playes should be gotten rid off and never acquired in the first place. Whenever players themselves are unclear about what they want that means there is something in background going on. Usually very problematic.

That's one of the reasons I think Tottenham did fantastic job this Summer. They brought in big players and only those players who want to come and play for Tottenham.
Parish did the worst thing possible with Guehi. He gave up so much power to Glasner and he got blackmailed by the manager. If you’re fucking owner act like one.
Guehi is leaving on a free and Palace won’t get anything with or without him this season.

Guehi wanted to go to Liverpool. He'd agreed terms and there was a deal sheet put through, only for CP to pull out at the very last minute.

Glasner apparently threatened to quit and scuppered the deal. Guehi's attitude is a testament to him as a professional. He probably sees it as him missing out on a PL winners medal, and possibly even more, yet he's knuckled down and got on with his job to the best of his abilities, which are excellent.

I'd top any competing offer to get him.

t's a funny one really. I actually think he'd still score a lot of goals in the PL, I'm just not sure it'd be with us.

In the right side, where aggressive press isn't a necessity, I think he'd still be extremely effective as a 9.

What would be his motivation for coming back to the PL? He's got the Silverware he sought, so back to see out his career with Spurs, or try to bear Shearer's record?

I guess the question is would Kane do what's good for the team, or what's best for Kane?
