Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Honestly I can’t wait to see where the target falls on next. Sooner us as football fans realise we aren’t watching sport we are watching entertainment the better. We are a lot of fucking idiots. We are gonna get to a point of not what club wins but which *state* wins.

All we are are doing is supporting the richest man.

Thats a bit harsh really, I could understand if we never got to any Semi or finals while he was here but thats not the case, maybe if Kane was the bigger person he would have refused to start the CL final and come on later in the game as he wasn't fully fit, I think in a way Kane going was better for us , as it used to be about "Spurs need to win a trophy for Kane" how about Spurs need to win a trophy for the fans?
Will England get the same stick if we get to another Final with Kane and don't win it, or will Kane need to start taking some of the responsibility in that he is a brilliant player, but he is a level below the like of those who can have that bit of magic to win you a final?
We were underdogs in that final with the likes of winks & sissoko in the heart of the midfield. We can pretend Lucas was amazing & we would have won with him starting but I don’t think so.
Maybe we are better off with rich & solanke & they will prove to be big final players. But again I don’t t see it. I’d swap Kane for either rich or solanke in a heartbeat. They are 7/10 type players in my eyes. Kane is a 9.
Then if you go down the trophy being important for the fans route then Enic & levy aren’t for you! Average of 1 every 12 years!
I agree Kane might not be a big final type player. But we didn’t then or have any forwards now who are either.

Football at this level has become pretty morally vacuous anyway. With the whole raison d’etre for the clubs and media being to make profit, and the pros that turn up being more and more mercenary (see Isak for the latest iteration of this) it’s becoming a little soulless.

Personally, as Levy and Lewis had / have been in place for so long I can almost turn a blind eye to Lewis’ ‘old-school’ ‘villainy’ - state links or American owners are just horrific to contemplate but most likely.

However, we have to take the statement released at face value and assume it’s a succession plan, rather then a sell off.

I’m worried about the future - aside from Liverpool, which of the other ‘new’ owners would I take? None.

Maybe it’s my age, but I remember clubs being owned by people who wanted success for the sake of the club, not the shareholders. Levy - rightly or wrongly - wanted to build the club but forgot to have the success on the field at the heart of things. If we are sold, or if a new leadership team comes in, will they be actually in favour of the club’s success or just something more in their portfolio, to be ejected the second it’s less profitable?

TL/DR : Bit sick of modern football. Bring back jumpers for goalposts.
No one is going to buy us. NO ONE. Damnnnn I just realised why I don’t come here much. Who is gonna buy us? We would litterally gonna go down as the biggest sports investment ever. Saudi, Oligarks, buy low and invest, they don’t buy high.

They are the bogeyman it’s true

Probably why it’s a much safer option to go with a middle eastern investor. Not sure I’ve seen a case of a “Sportswasher” actually being unpopular with fans or taking money out of the club
It would be ironic to have an Arabic investor in a traditionally Jewish club, but I make you right from that perspective.

They'd be the lesser of the evils on offer to an extent, they wouldn't use the club as a milking cow that's for sure.

Lol wrong about what.

Ive said, repeatedly, that its time for him to go.

This is so funny, you've voted in on the poll at the top of the Levy/ENIC thread. 😂

I honestly think that the "Get rich owners in and just buy the trophies" era has passed. The league is already stupidly wealthy and it shows in the quality of the league as a whole. Every team can beat any other team on a good day. Newcastle have spent since they got new owners but all that it has given them is a couple of seasons in the CL and a league cup.

IF we get new owners those owners still have to contend with City, Liverpool, the goons, Newcastle et al.

New owners that are willing to invest more money into the football side (or ENIC employing people that are more in line with that) would do us a lot of good. But it isn't possible any more to just "buy" a trophy with players. We'd still have to earn it by going through the rest of the stacked teams to get there.
I agree with what you’re saying but at the same time, bar Liverpool, they ain’t gonna pay for City and Newcastle what we are worth. I kinda feel certain parts of the fan base are celebrating. We are still owned by the same people that control the purse.

I can't help but worry for Don Charrington and his families safety over the next few months

Daniel's loyal army of devotees are surely going to be planning some nefarious actions to avenge their fallen hero

Hope he's got a top security team lined up
He Definitely should get someone else to start his car after each match!

So it is all change, Vinai &Lange doing transfers and no longer Joe Lewis as principle owner but Viv & Charlie represented by Carrington on the board.
From the messages coming out they are not selling but looking for more investment. Only time will tell if they succeed and we will not know until this 5ish next year if transfers are better funded and do not fall through.

We can but hope that it's a genuine intent and not just an appeasement sound bite.

Lol I did it to wind up JT and others that were crying about people voting for it after we won the Europa

There are posts explaing that

Try again x

Oh yes, basically trolling people who want Levy out. just like you state that supporters calling for it are simply participating in pantomime.

Trying to belittle public protests and chants in the stadium. that are against Levy.

If you don't think that's supporting him, then I don't know what else to say to you.

I read somewhere years ago that Joe Lewis is a massive Spurs fan and watches all the games on a big screen on his superyacht. It wouldn't surprise me if he has been a lot more hands on than we think.

Perfectly possible, but he's now 88 and has appointed trustees (both lawyers I think) to handle all his business decisions - so it maybe that he doesn't make many decisions any more. He appointed his kids to be executive Directors of Tavistock (his mater company) so the public statements that his kids have made all the decisions at Spurs regarding Levy's departure and any future sale of part or all shareholding in Spurs through their nominee on the Spurs Board Peter Charrington
