I don’t think it’s a good idea to play Xavi away at West Ham in his first game as a 10 , maybe from the left but I think he’ll get bullied , the left may suit him better and he’ll get more time . Once he’s adjusted to pace of the game or we play a crap team at home then move him to the middle .

Who by... Danny Dyer, James Cordon or Russel Brand?
:nawty:

[LINEUP]Vicario
Porro Romero VdV Spence
Palhinha Bergvall
Kudus Xavi Johnson
Muani
[/LINEUP]
Subs: Kinsky, Udogie, Danso, Gray, Sarr, Richy ???

I just get the feeling that Johnson is the type of player who will annoy BOTH sets of fans.... US 'cos he offers fuck all else 'except' goals, and their lot cos ALL he does is fucking score, and does little else!

Get bullied by who? Xavi is a top, top player who is likely to hit the ground running. Not really sure what you’re on about?

Also, West Ham are objectively shit.

I have no tattoos either , personally I’m not a fan but have no issue with those that have them. Also can you imagine if the guy or lady doing it is a bit crap , you go through all that pain for a Ginola tattoo and it looks like Arteta

The stuff of nightmares

I should have paid more attention when my tattoo guy said he had failed GSCE English and had just stopped going to any lessons when he was 12.

Still you live and lern!! I won’t make the same mistake on my back!!

Going to get a tattoo of my Guardian Angle.

Kudus needs to play left, Johnson right. This is his sorta game….
You do not move Kudus to accommodate Johnson.

Johnson is for games where we will defend in a low block and counter. Or to come on as a sub when we have the lead and there is space to attack as the opponent commits to attack themselves. HE is not suited to role your sleeves up derby games, or games where the opponent will sit deep.

Spnce and Johnson on the left is a recipe for disaster as no left foot between them.

Pretty sure it will be...Kudus, Xavi, Johnson behind Richy

Think Palhinha and Bentancur holding.

Xavi to make it a three and dictate things
Palh Benta is far too defensive. Palh alone with Sarr is plenty defensive enough. Sarr is better than Benta- we shouldn’t be afraid to say it.

There’s no way we can leave out Sarr given his recent form.

Bergvall-Sarr would be ballsy AF but I wouldn’t risk it just yet this season, given West Ham being tough derby competition, and wanting to continue picking up points in the Prem, which imo should be our number 1 goal this season.

Personally I've never really bought this "need to ease him in" bollocks (something you typically hear at unsuccessful clubs where a soft mentality is the norm) - Muani a certain starter as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah you can't drop him for Johnson, not in a tough away game.

Sarr Palhinha
Kudus Bergvall Xavi
Richarlison

That's what I'd go with.

I’d like to see Simons played in his natural position, but I can see Frank giving him a start at LW to ease his integration into our midfield.

We could play a really cool 4-3-3 lineup like this:

Xavi-Richy-Kudus
Sarr-Palh-Bergvall

Yeah, you may be right... I just wanted to avoid the hipster trap of Kudus Simons & Odobert in an attacking three behind Muani...

Though I can see a world where that could work!

I think for the first game together, Frank might mix up the old with the new....
Johnson to feature somewhere, along with two of Kudus, Simons & Muani...
With one of Tel & Odobert to fight it out for the other forward position...

Ah, I forgot Richy... THAT'S why I'm not a football coach!! :frankthink:
