We had more than enough talent to not be relegated - but we came bloody close. I can easily see a world where Forest go down.I think Forest will be a mid-table team. They probably won't do better than they did last year under Nuno, but the also have enough talent not to get relegated. Postecoglou has probably found a good landing spot.
I thought we had some exciting games under Conte, certainly in his first season.TBF, the "exciting" games were the ones like Chelsea, which we lost, and were only exciting because they were totally, utterly, and completely representative of how a rookie would manage - like some weird Sherwood-esq 'maverick' stuff.
I think we had more exciting games under Mourinho
Impressive impact in such a short time. Clearly getting his ideas across rapidly.

To play devil's advocate, they lost by this same scoreline to the Spammers before the break, so you could say he's kept the consistency going...Impressive impact in such a short time. Clearly getting his ideas across rapidly.

My most memorable match under Conte was the 3-0 win over the Gooners, especially how they'd been running scared of us that season.I thought we had some exciting games under Conte, certainly in his first season.
In seriousness, I think he might have the next three games to get results otherwise it'll be "I hear the Malaysian champions are looking a new manager Ange".
Agree with that apart from the Forest fans part.Mark my words, Forest will be the next prime example of an owner running a club into the ground purely because of his own ego, hubris and "sense of power" rather than a misguided attempt to benefit the club in any way.
As bad as ENIC have been for us at times, I've never got the sense they've done these things personally, any issues we've had have been down to incompetence rather than spite as far as I'm concerned.
There is zero footballing reason to sack a manager who had them challenging for Champions League qualification last season simply because he "fell out" with him in favour of a guy who was a rival club's worst manager domestically for decades.
No owner with a proper care for the club they run would publicly confront the manager on the pitch after a poor performance or hell, even in front of the players in the dressing room.
I fully expect Marinakis to be to Forest what Chanseri has been to Sheff Wed, it might not happen right away, but I believe it will happen.
The people I feel the most sorry for are Forest fans, with what they've been through for years they don't deserve shit like this.
He'll bullshit and bluster his way to the end of the season...and of course he always wins something in his second season...In seriousness, I think he might have the next three games to get results otherwise it'll be "I hear the Malaysian champions are looking a new manager Ange".
Forest are the new LeicesterAgree with that apart from the Forest fans part.
They've been talking alllll sorts of shit about us since MGW saga.
I'm going to enjoy watching them suffer.
Makes the hell they are about to go through even more enjoyable.Forest are the new Leicester
Irrelevant tinpot outfit obsessed with creating a rivalry with a proper big club , fuck them
At least Leicester actually won stuff. Forest finished 7th once and think they’re about to become elite, they’re a jokeForest are the new Leicester
Irrelevant tinpot outfit obsessed with creating a rivalry with a proper big club , fuck them
I don't care how long ago it was, no club that has won two European Cups should be considered "Irrelevant".Forest are the new Leicester

I think managers have a strong instinct for self-preservation. If Postecoglou has to change to keep his job he will.We had more than enough talent to not be relegated - but we came bloody close. I can easily see a world where Forest go down.
Well, the upside is if that happens it will finally remove any question people have about his system working in the Premier League.I don't really think it's accurate to say that anyone is upset that we won, more that they're upset that Ange is getting credit for it that they don't think he deserves .
You can only assume that the people still banging on about his wondetful style of football didn't actually watch us at all. Outside of the first 10 games where nobody including our players knew what was going on, it was all very mundane.
No, Spurs had enough talent to not go down, but he still gave it a good fucking go! That there are people actually suggesting that this Forest squad is equal to or better than ours shows just what a fucking number him and his group of idiots did on our players.
If he can take us to 17th then he's more than capable of taking them down!
FairI don't care how long ago it was, no club that has won two European Cups should be considered "Irrelevant".
Did you watch last season? Only time he "changed" was in the Europa League.I think managers have a strong instinct for self-preservation. If Postecoglou has to change to keep his job he will.
Going to get a lot of “told you so” on here after today’s result, massively disregarding the fact that there is a massive difference in the strengths of both sides. Is there a world where anyone expects Forest to go to that lot and get a result? Very unlikely.
And the “told you so” posts will undoubtedly come from those who said we’d fail to get past Frankfurt, then fail to win the Europa, then insist Ange had no chance at another top league job.
Maybe give him a wee while longer in the role before anyone can claim to be proved correct or not.
Well he didn't here..I think managers have a strong instinct for self-preservation. If Postecoglou has to change to keep his job he will.
