Porro . . .Romero . . . van de Ven . . . Spence

. . . . . Kudus . . . . . Tel . . . . . Xavi

This, surely. Sarr, Bergvall and Palhinha are all interchangeable. And Frank sees Tel and Xavi as interchangeable too. Tel is a big surprise.

Porro and Romero are liabilities in my opinion.

Frank plays Tel. Perhaps because he scored a brace for the French U21 team.
Yup, plus he is not registered on CL so Frank is giving him chance.

Tel needs to play well cause lets be honest - given current situation he is lucky to be in 20man matchday squad. Fully fit Muani would start today and Gray takes Tel spot at bench in such situation - to have better balance for potential substitutions.

Palh is the pivot and Bergvall and Sarr will work the flanks around him.

I have a sneaky suspicion that Xavi and Kudus will be interchanging with whoever is the 10 between Bergvall and Sarr.

I expect to see a lot of Bergvall/Sarr in wider positions as the other two come central in the last third.

Vicario,
Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence
Palhinha, Sarr, Bergvall
Kudus, Tel, Simons

Subs : Kinsky, Udogie, Davies, Danso, Bentancur, Odobert, Johnson, Kolo Muani, Richarlison

Not sure too many people expected Tel to start, but id should allow Richarlison a rest before subbing him at HT before CL game on Tuesday. Would be good to get some minutes into Kolo Muani as well - he's not played for a few weeks now.

Tel must obviously be better in training than we all see on the pitch.
Got to give the boy a chance and we have Muani and Richy to come off the bench
Bizarre to not register him for CL but then also give him a start here over Richy and Muani... I hope this works out but it looks a strange move to me.

The rest of the team looks great though- I'm really glad he's decided to start Bergvall today. Looks a great midfield setup to me. Hopefully they can physically dominate and provide Tel a safe platform to shine. If not Frank will look a bit foolish for playing a weaker side than he could have before Villreal Tuesday...

Interesting to see how optimistic people are for including Tel.

That’s an incredibly brave call by Frank. If he plays anything like he has in his career so far it’s like playing with ten men and we’ll likely lose.

And believe me I do see his potential there so I hope he takes his chance but I fear for both him and Frank if this backfires especially with Muani there on the bench. This is someone we left out of the CL squad as he’s been so poor.

I admire the bravery to switch it up after a really bad performance against Bournemouth by many.

Personally I think it's the wrong match to start a guy whose confidence is absolutely shot
