Match Spurs v Brighton (Away) - Sat 20th September - KO: 3pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Odobert can’t lose the ball there, it’s shame, but all his fault.
What is with the overreactions that every goal conceded is 100% the fault of one player?

Odobert lost the ball 70 yards from goal and we had plenty of players back. Those giveaways happen 10 times a game and at least 9 of 10 won’t turn into goals.

Odobert deserves some blame but to say it’s all his fault is ridiculous. What about the 6 defenders back that were played through like Swiss cheese?

Don't understand why so many are beating up Bentancur today. He definitely IS showing for the ball, he's screaming for it at times, he's calmed down situations when other tend to panic, he's been useful in and around their box a couple of times, I'm not sure what people want / expect. Also he hasn't floated numerous hospital balls out to the wings the way Palhinha has and does, thank god - that's worse than sideways or backwards passes, they just end up with our wingers get clattered and the other team coming away with the ball (though of course I appreciate that's not what Palhinha is in the side for).

Honestly, it seems like if we're losing and Johnson isn't playing, Bentancur seems to be the next target, irrespective of how he's actually playing. 🤷‍♂️

Hope he doesn't put xavi on the left. Either leave it as is or put tel there . Xavi needs to go right into the heart of the action
Agree. Get him in the pressure position and dictating play.

Poor error aside, Odobert been decent. Wouldn't mind him chancing another shot or two, neither of our wingers have worked the keeper anywhere near enough since the start of the season.

Yeah weird one. Really the goal came from the chain reaction of one of our centre mids getting drawn to the ball and leaving a big hole, then VDV also coming forward and not getting to his man. Those two actions left a big hole and we got punished. VDV in particular had to smash the guy and take the foul/yellow, under no circumstances could the Brighton player get the pass away in that situation given how exposed we were.
