First weekend game after a midweek fixture and we're a point better off vs Brighton than last season, not a bad result. Didn't watch the game but encouraging to see us equalising so late in the game, feel like barring the first 10 under Ange where we snatched a few late results we have really struggled with pulling a result out of the bag late in games since Poch left really, the odd time we have done it since (Bergwijn vs Leicester) it's been noteworthy enough to be memorable.

I mean; you ducked my point and have subsequently contradicted your narrative also saying you'll accept a top half league finish cos were a new project, but yeh.......

We're a big club.

........Our team is also a work in progress.
There’s no contradiction. I am not happy with draws against small clubs. I expect to win those matches and Brighton ought to fear us rather than the other way round. I also am realistic about our chances against the top 4-6 not being good with the personnel on hand.

So RKM has pulled his hamstring already ?
Honestly I think he's just really unfit and needs a couple more weeks on the training ground to get up to speed, unsure why it's the case (maybe PSG had him training individually through the summer as they sought a transfer and he relied too heavily on the group training?) but you could tell from his cameo vs Villarreal he is nowhere near match fit.

Liked the fact we were bullish today. Dominated most of match. Need a top striker and keeper imo.
Think we need a keeper who’s a bit more alert in terms of flow of the game. Hard to describe, but I feel Vic really slows the game down and never get to counter on the break if he gets it in his hands. Hes a far better shot stopper than Toni, but id still like to see Kinsky behind a competent defence and team and see how he does

Offer me 76 points from 38 games and I would snatch your hand off.
So would I! That would have us in or around top 4, almost certainly top 6.

A decent result today in the end I suppose. Another mixed bag performance wise though. I would have happily settled for a point before the game, so it seems a bit churlish to be disappointed this evening.

Still, we're doing better than I thought we would this season, (results wise at least) so onwards, and upwards. Wolves, at home is a must win though, surely. They are terrible!

Got in from the game a few hours ago but was too pissed off to do a write up . The line up was a real head scratcher , TF put Sarr , Spence and Simons on the bench . So when the first goal went in we all looked at each other as if to say we told you so .
The game was only started a few minutes and a superb ball caught us out - Minteh went through one on one with Vicario and we ended up 1-0 down . We looked the better team but they were resolute and our efforts were coming to nothing . Then about 30mins in they scored a scorcher , It was a deflection and looked like it was right on top of Vicario before he reacted , so without the benefit of being in his boots I can't tell if he should have done better , but my initial thought was "he should've had that" . But the score wasn't reflective off the game . Then Just before half time Richarlison scored to get us back in the game . Half Time 2-1 . The second half and we were trying our hardest , our chances were few and not easily made . Brighton will probably think they've blown a chance to get the 3 points but it was a fair result . The songs :- We were singing like Larks (pillarks) and even their first goal didn't temper us if anything we just got louder . Then after their 2nd goal we sort of quietened down a little . We sung loads of songs mainly "Champions of Europe we know what we are" . Then when they scored they started singing "Champions of Europe You're having a laugh" . So we sang "Champions of Europe you'll never sing that". The way the game was going it looked like Brighton had the rub of the green , we taunted them singing "Crystal Palace they've won more than you" . We didn't stop trying and had some decent chances just the final touch was too heavy/soft or were off target . The last 10mins were the best for us , we had them under pressure and committed players forwards time after time - we were unlucky not to take all the points .

Doncaster Rovers in the cup on Wednesday evening , I have my ticket and we're taking a coach load

I dont know what happened to us defensively, thats the second game in a row where we've been very open.
Odo lost the ball and then there were 3 points of failure in getting it back and also Romero's positioning was off -- he should have been over a few yards and stalled his run trying for offside and then he ran like an old man chasing Minteh.

Frank will sort.

We started super aggressively (pressing high with 6) and was all over them from the whistle and then maintained that energy and drive all game.

I loved it.

Frank will iron out the wrinkles.

Here are the teams Brighton beat last season.

Not sure why people were expecting us to just rock up there and batter them after losing to them 3 times in last last 2 season (2 of those in the same stadium) with a new manager who's only just getting beginning to sort us out after we lost 22 games and defended like toddlers last season.

Some of the same people who were happy to just lose week after week after week and it be totally fine.

I suspect a few agendas are at play.
