Match Doncaster [H] 19:45 wed 24-09-2025 League Cup 3rd Round

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm not saying play our top 11 but wholesale changes never work and we are well aware of this.

3/4 changes to the starting lineup tops.

Bring people off the bench depending how the game is going.

Much rather go hard early, get the game under control then manage minutes.

Backwards thinking would be to continue to treat this competition as a lesser one, chuck in a fully new 11 and end up with the same thing that always happens...and that us struggling.
100% Correct

Sounds like Davies, Muani, Koto (FWIW), and Dom might all be back for Wolves

Did he say that? He said they would have to earn it and that it would be a strong team ... I guess we will see tonight. If Byfield and LWB don't play then they would be the obvious candidates.
It's an important game tonight though, the U21s took home the points against Bristol Rovers and Plymouth will be a very good test of where they are. That might be a better run out than 5 minutes off the bench v Doncaster.

He definitely said they would be on the bench

Other than a spurs win I'm excited to have another look at ajayi. I was really impressed with his europa league performance so kind of hoping to see more of the same from him.

Is allowing loaned players to play against the Parent club a new thing this season, or just a Spurs thing....?

Solomon was eligible to play for Villarreal last week, even though he didn't come on (woulda got a better reception than the rapist, THAT'S for sure!)

Kinsky
Spence - Danso - Byfield - Udogie
Gray
Sarr - Simons
Johnson - Tel - Odobert

I imagine Biss might start if he’s fit and available. Hopefully LWB gets some minutes tomorrow as well, he’s earned them.

Think it's a club choice tbh. We loaned him out to gain experience don't see why he shouldn't play tbh. Not 100% sure but I think it's less of a done thing elsewhere around the world.

Home to Doncaster Wednesday, home to Wolves Saturday, away to Bodo/Glimt Tuesday

Pretty good rotation options, from;

Odobert Tel Johnson

Bissouma Bentancur Gray

Udogie Danso Romero Spence

Kinsky

Xavi Richarlison Kudus

Bergvall Sarr Palhinha

Udogie van de Ven Romero Porro

Vicario

especially considering we're missing Davies, Dragusin, Takai, Maddison, Kulusevski, Muani and Solanke

I think if Danso has 2 games in a week in him, HE plays both games, to allow VDV and Romero to sit one out each....

Likewise Spence with Porro/Udogie...
