Where are these games broadcast?
May need another dodgy stream to watch from the beach tomorrow.

I am perhaps foolishly optimistic about tomorrow and seeing some of our younger talent. Great opportunity for a guy like Archie to take a step.

I think we are just keeping him as a presence. Seems to gets well with everyone and if I'm correct I've read somewhere he's interested in a manageria carreer or something like that. Would be nice to keep him at the club as he's a role model professional, but I don't think he will play much this season.
Bit like tuchel bringing back hendo for the tub thumping.

7 PL sides go through - but astonishingly 9 PL sides are out.

Five of those going out went out in round 2 ( those not in europe - ManU, Leeds, Wham, Sunderland, Bournemouth, so only playing PL until FA Cup in January) - or round 3 (those in europe)

Not saying that’s what I want but it’s what we’ll get.

I’m close to 100% agreeing with you, but I feel he’ll go with Sarr over Xavi! I’d love to see Xavi run riot against a poorer team to get some confidence, but I feel Frank will save him for wolves who will play a nasty nasty low block which will require his magic to unlock

Simons, Romero and Sarr off at HT or as soon in the 2nd half as the result is secure, chance for the likes of Johnson, Tel and Odobert to generate and convert some chances against weak opposition and maybe earn an earlier sub appearance to show what they can do vs better opposition.

Plenty of sensible talk re rotation. It is clear that the teams with the strongest squads do better as the season progresses as they can rest players whilst the players at smaller clubs play all the time and lose energy levels.
You pick the team to beat the opposition and not what tournament it is. Had we been playing aPL team then we would need a stronger team. However wholesale changes frequently result in disaster.
The strongest team for this match is the team that can beat Doncaster and rest some players. We will not agree on what that is.

As to playing youngsters, Ange got it right last season in that you pick 1 (Moore) and play him as frequently as you can but whoever is chosen needs good players around them in the part of the field they are playing. The better kids are on loan and Moore did not make the breakthrough last season

Hardly

They are school kids
I thought our best academy players were out on loan. Thats why myself and many others have complained we should have kept a few back at least till Jan. my pref would have been to keep Devine, lankshear and donley who have already had plenty of loans. Moore may be but he hasn’t been on loan so may that one was justified. The other 3 would have helped with numbers in the CL I believe or at least allowed some rotation in some games.

Nonsense?

Spence, Udogie, Gray, Sarr, Johnson, Simons, Odobert and Tel have all started premier league games for us this season under Frank. Thats 8

Danso is next man up at CB.

Its a strong enough team to beat Doncaster at home.

If they cant compete at Doncasters level then they can do one.
The thing is I know we have been bitten on the arse many times in these kind of games, but we have the home advantage, we aren't playing on some shitty pitch , this game should be a good opportunity for the fringe players to prove they deserve a place in the squad.
