Just hate St James with a passion. Mid week as well right before a Chelsea match disgusts me.

Much as I hate the Gooners I genuinely would rather we beat Chelsea this year. It’s been so long and they’ve humiliated us under Ange. Would love to give them a hiding. Unfortunately going to Goodison and St James earlier that week and then playing Chelsea signifies bad things.

Yeah, bollocks. I really want us to beat them this year too.

I don’t get the uproar about drawing Newcastle. The nature of the domestic cups means we will always have to play a decent PL side.

If our name is meant to be on the cup this year then we’ll win these games. If we don’t, well isn’t it better to go out early against PL sides rather than get to the semi final and get knocked out like we did last year. To win it we’ll need to beat the likes of Newcastle.

If we can’t beat them then we clearly aren’t good enough to win this trophy and we are better off out of it.

Woolwich, Liverpool, City and Chelsea are all better than Newcastle so if we can’t beat Newcastle then we have less chance of beating the other sides.

I see nothing to fear. They are good at home but hardly unbeatable.

Could have done with one more round without it.

Last year I’m pretty sure we had to beat ManC, ManU and Liverpool to get to the final. We did 2 out of the 3 which as Meatloaf said, 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.

Newcastle in comparison is an easier game.

We have to pick the heavy mob in midfield as Newcarsul are dirty/cynical especially at home and Joelinton and co will kick lumps out of our boys. They have turned us over a few times at SJP with generous officiating ,good luck and woeful finishing from our boys. I believe Odobert missed an absolute sitter last season.
We are due a result there

Play a back 5 there and go pragmatic. Dragusin and Davies will be due minutes around then. We won't lose sleep over it if we lose. Rotten draw and can't see us going full strength in round 4. Like you said its not the worst time to go out.
