He’s had one transfer window and we still have glaringly obvious holes in the squad.

We’ve spent an alarming amount of money on mediocre attacking players over the last few years and it’s showing!

The bloke needs time and resources.

Based on Franks start at Brentford and Brondby, I was expecting a much more frustrating start with us.

The results have been much better than I was expecting and it’s not like we’ve been getting lucky results either.

Sure, we all want to see better football but it’s still very very early
I get that mate... maybe he needs more time and I've now changed my mind about how much of a miss Madders is. Not having him is certainly an issue until Simons can find some form.

Fuck me another XG twat... you couldn't answer your name if it was written in big letters on badge pinned to your chest. Just fuck off and put me on ignore...
I didn’t mention xg.

You’re acting like they are bottom after 20 games, not 5. They’ve played better than their league position suggests. They’ve played city and gone away to Newcastle and Bournemouth too.

Just as Liverpool have been lucky to win so many games despite not playing well.

Luck plays a significant part in the results of a low scoring game. You need a bigger sample of games to decide how good a team is.

I wasn’t going to go through all 22 games. You can do that if you want. I had things to do.

I looked at the first quarter of the season and it was clear there was an issue.

Also our manager stated he threw the league at the point he realised the only chance of saving face was the europa league.
I’d be quite interested to see exactly who played the most minutes in our last 9 league games though.
Take some time out of your day and give us the context.
No you're alright...

what’s really fucking us up is not being clinical enough , on another day we go in 2 or 3 nil up at half time and we are thinking about CL the second half and starting to rest players , we were spoilt with Kane and Sonny for to long and as much as Richie tries he is just not consistent enough to be our first choice!

And Wolves did? They got a lucky deflection of Palhinha from a corner.

On top of our goal we had the Kudus and Udogie chances in the first half that were both great opportunities.

We weren’t amazing but we did enough to win that. That’s football - it’s a low scoring game and we need to be better.

Wolves had the best chance of the first half for Doherty. All the Kudus chances were offside and he went offside early for the Udogie situation as well.

We have a good coach here. It’s still early days.

That said, I always thought that the home matches against low blocks was gonna be his greatest challenge this season. He’s never had this challenge before in his career. Even when teams came deeper against Brentford in the Championship it was a different level of quality and coaching.

The style of football he’s mastered in the last 5 years can take us far this season away from home and in Europe, but he’s got to evolve a more pro-active style at home.

Frank just needs to play Simon’s in the MF 3. Based on his team selections he’d probably be shunting Maddison out on the left wing as well
It must be a stubbornness with managers nowadays to not do the obvious or admit you got selection and tactics wrong and change it. Neither Simons or Madders are left wingers and if we see either there again then Frank is clearly seeing something nobody else is.

What was with Kudus yesterday , he isn’t exactly a prolific goal scorer yet we seemed to be relying on him to score ? Don’t get me wrong If his offside goal wasn’t offside that’s a lovely bit of football but it was like In the first half we had nothing else up our sleeve apart from hope Kudus can score.

Playing too safe when we could go more aggressive in the team selection but with Xavi clearly still adjusting to PL needs do these last 2 draws turn to losses with a more exposed defence? It was a huge issue under Ange, I think if we're still seeing performances like this in the 2nd half of the season when fitness levels are optimal and new signings are properly bedded in it's more a cause for worry, right now I think we are just seeing Frank applying the most pragmatic approach to early success which is effective if not pretty. It's certainly becoming more of a trend to play ugly to get a result as a top side now, City tried it away at Utd, Slot has been accused of boring football, Arteta is Pulis in disguise, could be a sign of a larger trend in top level football to be more risk-averse.

Xavi in the 10 turned one of those draws from a loss.

So often yesterday Romero looked up and CM was just vacated. He played some wonderful crossfield pings to get us wide but Wolves 3-5-2
killed the wide areas for us. If Xavi was already settled and in rhythm playing centrally, coming to get the ball from the CBs occasionally, he’d have carried the ball and passed the ball through the spaces vacated in the middle IMO

For me he's doing a few odd things that need cutting out.

Bergvall as a number 10 - total waste of his ability to drive us up the field

Simons as a lw - total waste of a potentially very good number 10

Shunting Johnson into the team at the expense of shape or other players.

Playing bentancur and Palhinha as a defensive double pivot at home to the worse team in The league is diabloical.

He's a smart guy, I trust he'll address all these

Maybe he thinks he needs to get up to Prem speed before moving him centrally? 🤷🏻

I know we were all calling for him to be moved centrally yesterday, but when he was he seemed to disappear completely and we were too open, so maybe Frank has a reason behind it?

The header was offside? I missed that.

Over half of Wolves’ xG was their goal. Remove the goals and we had much better chances. Udogie going through didnt even register on xG so I am not relying on that.

Clearly, there are some agendas at play.

No amount of venom spat at Frank is going to bring Fatso back.

The clueless cunt is currently gracing Forest with a new record - becoming the first Nottingham Forest manager since Harry Hallam in 1897 to not win any of his first five games in charge.

Aren't they lucky.
He'll win something in his second season, mate.
It's who he is...

Our so called "striker" does bugger all so somebody has to take the reins....
