We shouldn’t be.

But unfortunately modern football and the amount of media and hype that surrounds every move, players are expected to just perform immediately.
That’s just not realistic to expect 100% of the time.

Similar story with the young German lad at Liverpool. Huge fee, no goals or assists yet. Wonder what they make of him up there?

Playing as 10 in the weaker Dutch league. Gets moved to LW in the bundesliga which is clearly a weaker league than the premier league.

No other big clubs really wanted him.

None of that screams out we were getting a player who would instantly transform us playing as a 10. Especially with our rather shit forwards (compared to the elite ones out there)

Why... is bringing the noise really gonna help him evaluate players????
 
He can work playing off the left with the correctly balanced side.

Essentially witn the proper LB who turns into a LW when we have the ball, he comes inside and becomes the 10. Then when the other team has the ball he moves left and defend in a 442.

It needs the right pieces around him to make it work more smoothly. Also everything is gonna look worse because we are getting subpar hold up play from Richarlison currently. The whole team is suffering because of it.

Kulu is definitely Frank's man, he's made a beeline for him and name checked him in press conference, he has has that physicality and work rate he craves in the middle of the pitch as well as the creativity.

We have no need to worry about CL semi final because we won't make it.
It's a matter of Frank finding the right balance, Xavi on the left isn't working and, as usual we are left with a lot of options in the squad that don't fit the need.
Club yet again, didn't do enough in the summer to fix LW option instead, choosing to shoehorn Xavi into it and find that it doesn't work.
Frank has made the team more organised but, should be beating teams like Wolves at home.
Very fortunate to scramble a last minute goal, when defeat at home looked a familiar option.

I think if Solanke or Munai are fit we could try Richie on the left
 
Xavi will be fine at 10. I trust frank is easing him in. It is a lot simpler to ease into the prem on the left than central because of the pace of the game. We did the same with modric way back when.

Issue is we simple do not have a lw. We thought Tel would be it, but isn't. Or we tried for Savio and failed. I'm not sure what the option is.
