Despite all the Viking raids and conflicts at the time, no English king ever invaded Norway. However, Danish King Cnut the Great not only invaded Norway successfully, but he was also the ruler of England, Denmark, and Norway at the same time.

Long story short, we need Frank to be a bit of a Cnut in this one.

With Rom out and Palh having featured several games in a row now, I feel like Frank will switch it up more for this one.

Tel
Odo - Xavi - BJ
Sarr - Benta
Udog - VdV - Danso - PP
Kinsky
I actually like this lineup a lot and think it should operate well against Bodo. Would rather Gray get a start ahead of Benta but I feel like Frank is cautious and won't start without either of Palh or Benta in CM.

Bergvall to sub in for Xavi as soon as the game is secured, if it gets there...
🤦‍♂️......another one putting Tel in....

Why do you think we should be swatting away a CL team away from home?

If you read further down, you will note
I acknowledged its difficulty.

We should however be going into the match with confidence, and given our considerable resources have the players and coaching staff, not to see the game as one where we need to set up a rear guard action.

I like Frank from what I have seen, and I am sure with better to come. My singular concern might be his relatively cautious approach, compared to let's say a Silva.

So, no I don't think on reflection, as indicated previously that we can just swat Bodo aside, but I do think we need to demonstrate why we are called a 'big club'

Tenacity and being combative, and then clinical when chances arrive, and high levels of concentration. Crucially, and something this club continually struggle with - no gifts.

Your considerable resources include 5 first team injuries - I don't really get why we should be confident when we are struggling to open teams up and knowing what their home form is like?

We should win but suggesting swatting away a CL team away from home is laughable.

You are choosing to ignore that I moved from swatting.

We need to be beating (at least not losing) to Bodo.

That's how I see it, but if we lose I won't be jumping up and down, like Rumpelstilskin, but it would be disappointing.

Frank needs to show why we got him and ensure he sets us up in the right manner and the players need to play close to the quality expected of their lofty pay pockets.

Hilarious people trying to big up Bodo like they did last year.

Even with Ange's awful side we comfortably saw them off.

Anything less than a win is a bad result.
Couldn't agree more... those bigging up Bodo are making early excuses for Frank. We should beat this lot comfortably such is the gulf in everything about these two clubs. Anything less is another shit result.

Hmm, actually its bit tricky to pick side for today. Because of internal reasons, Bodo is garbage team and easy opposition. Even last year was 3 levels below us when we were unorganized mess.

So I'd like to see -

--------------Kinsky---------------
Porro-Romero-Danso-Spence
-----Palhinha---Gray------------
---Kudus--Xavi--Odobert----
-----------Richie----------------

Palhinha is hitting very good form now. Let him keep playing. He can start both - current game and then Leeds to, if score permits maybe don't have to play 90.
Gray has earned chance to start in midfield and let Sarr get fully fit before starting vs Leeds.
Would not start Richie but... we don't have anyone else... so. Everything else is self explanatory.
