yea i agree, it was nice last night to have a midfielder thats regarded as fringe, who can come in and actually impress. hes a natural footballer gray, could be his breakout year.

obviously have to give the context that it was a league 1 side, but he has that gift on the ball that you either have or you dont. some very nice bits of play where he provides actual quality.
 
I am beginning to prefer him to Bentancur

Can only watch so much of Plodrigo hiding from the ball in buildup and refusing to play football for 20 minute stretches.

He should surpass Bentancur late this year going into next year imo. No excuse not to.
 
tidy last night but still had chances to let the ball run across him on the turn, but took negative touch to protect the ball to much especially down the right channel. Really hope he makes it but he needs to work on receiving the ball back to goal/side on imo. Either improve technically or develop a change of pace.
 
Looks much more of an all around mid than I was expecting. Maybe he’s not as much of a 6 as people think. Some of the ball playing and dribbling around the box as well as the inventiveness of his snap shot impressed me.
 
I want him starting vs Bodo.

I believe he has what its needed to do well there. And based on his minutes this season so far he also deserves it.
Say Bentancur-Gray midfield? And then Palhinha-Sarr CM for Leeds (as I expect Sarr not being 90-minutes ready vs Bodo anyway)?!?

AND PLEASE use double pivot not 4-3-3 !!!

Has to start vs Bodo I agree. He’s earned it and our midfield isn’t exactly clicking anyway
