Cue the overreaction brigade because we didn't win that match.
Thought the performance warranted scrutiny on him TBF. Master tactician they say. But so far he has gotten even the starting lineup quite wrong for a while. And subs aren't exactly tweaks to system not working, but likes for likes. He said he's learning. Fine. But he doesn't seem to adapt IMHO.

Attacking threat needs to be addressed next game. Not even ASAP. There's no solid pattern that screams a well-coached attacking setup. Not at all.

We are not Brentford, or sitting back and nicking on counter. Can't complain if our counter attacking works. But we aren't even counter attacking. We are a mid-block stewer, increasing our attacking intensity only when we got behind. Like that's even worse.

He's quickly learning that the players he thinks he can rely on - he can't.

Bentancur isn't that guy.

Nor a few others.

He took libs bringing that same 11 out for the second half, as well.

That was a huge error.

Should have made the 3 subs needed and came out to gain some control of the game.

The resilience and not giving up is super important.

We stank and got something after going 2 down.

Good trait to have, but you don't want to have to see yourself in that position too often.

Anywa6y, more information for Frank to digest and challenges to work through.

We desperately, desperately need players back form injury.

It’s not great, but we lost 22 PL matches last season. What did you expect? Ange was the main reason for that, but some of these players are mitable PL players, at best. Richarlison, Johnson, Bentancur, Odobert…

Porro is terrible defender. He can cross a ball but at what cost? Danso was awful too.

The melts on this thread I swear. There won’t be many teams who go to Bodo and get a point. 4th in the EPL and 4th in the CL. Both Liverpool and Chelsea have lost games in the CL so far. Give me a break.

The season is a marathon and we need to make use of the squad which means rotation and we to start using them now so come the business end of the season we have players to call on. We lack creativity in this squad and that’s not Franks fault. We need better players up front

We have a potentially top class forward who sits continually on the bench, why does Frank refuse to give him any minutes?

I'd like to believe that he's sorting the defence first before focusing on the attack, but I remember his Brentford team last season that managed to lose to Ange 2-0 and spent 90 mins just sending endless awful cross spam into our box, and my belief wavers.

I suspect we'll find out ultimately that it won't be too different to what we've seen so far. He can be an excellent coach of the team for games spent without the football - eg. City, PSG. However with the ball its all crosses, set pieces, long balls/channel runs, lethal transitions, and hope in the final third individuals can work it out themselves and/or produce moments of quality. A lot of weeks that will be enough, to get the top table though is very debatable, and anyone wanting some sort of possession ethos or principles (beyond drawing the opponents in to go long/direct) should brace themselves for disappointment.

Really hasn't. It's been fine, not good. Only getting 1 point out of 6 to Bournemouth and Brighton, 3 points out of 6 against two teams almost certain to go down. We beat City well, but this is the worst City team under Pep. We've been fortunate in most games.

We've played like this in most. It's been really bad. The only tactic we have going forward is playing it out wide and crossing, and thankfully our clinical forward, own goal has been there to mop up chances.

This is bad.

You didn't read my post properly did you? I basically said the same as you 🤣

This squad finished 17th in the league about four months back.

Thomas Frank might not be the solution, but he's certainly not the problem right now and he deserves time to get things worked out.

We're the third highest scorers in the league.

Having to rotate with:

------Johnson-----Richarlison------Odobert-----

..is where the problem lies.
theres no doubt hes got a shit hand when it comes to front 3 options, but hes struggling with midfield now, keeps putting faith in that idiot bentancur, it should be clear now that these guy is a problem for us, he is not good enough! fair enough in a 2 with PAL against the better sides to limit space, but if you need a ball player he aint the one, PAL can do everything he can and a lot, lot better.

lets see what he does against leeds, needs to start trusting gray, we lack actual footballers badly, which is why its stinking.

Truth is, Gray isn't going to be much better.

Baldcunt has left us with an proper mid squad.

80M for Gray and Tel???

fuckign hell
This. People having a go at Frank need to seriously open their eyes.

Bar arguably Bergval, Our midfield 3 and forward 3 that started today are genuinely bottom half PL table/Championship level players. May seem harsh, but we all know deep down it’s true.

And I know people will retort “Franks the one who put them on the pitch”, but what is he supposed to do?
Palhinha is a level up sure, but he cannot play every game. Ditto Kudus. They will be broken in no time and we already have enough injuries.

People screaming for Gray, come on. The kid has talent, but he’s still so so raw and if he started in midfield tonight he would have been absolutely no improvement on the 3 that did start.

Sure, Frank isn’t beyond criticism, but the hand he’s been dealt squad wise is absolutely shocking considering the level he is expected to compete at and the expectation amongst fans.
