For taking them down?!

I don’t think he has the minerals for the United job and from what we’ve seen since he left Brighton, you’ve got to wonder whether it’s the organisation there more than the individual. A bit like Ajax.
It didn't go well at Chelsea, granted, but weirdly United actually have the right players to fit the way he likes to play. If they got him a decent goalie he could sort things out pretty quickly.

Ridiculous to be considering sacking Amorim. He needs more time to build his squad, spend a lot more money, coach his magic and get the whole club under his strong and inspirational leadership.

Think About It GIF by Manchester United

I reckon 10 more years would be about right.

He did well at Ostersund, Swansea, and Brighton.

He didn't even get a season at Chelsea, and took over a West Ham side that Pellegrini couldn't figure out, and sold their best players from under him.

He has made made choices but isn't a bad manager imo

His football has gotten points for some teams but how he escapes comparison to the worst aspects of Pulis, Mowbray, Allardyce, I never got how he got branded as a "trendy young English manager playing exciting football", his teams are not, have never been, and never will be, prolific at scoring goals, or fun to watch. 1.22 goals per game record across his entire managerial career is huge testament to that. Brighton have improved since ditching him, they played some fantastic stuff under De Zerbi and Hurzeler so far looks a success, got decades of his career ahead of him at 32 and his Brighton side score just shy of 2 goals a game. I would bet the house Brighton fans don't miss him in the slightest.
