Sources insist the club's minority owner still backs Amorim and feels it is only fair to judge him on a full season with what he views as the right team. :djedcigar:

The absolute number American fans did on the brains of football fans and boards as a whole; convincing many that every manager deserves infinite time, even when their teams don’t really show signs of life.

The weird part is how people don’t really get that the reason they think all managers deserve infinite time is because in American sports, many don’t really even think the manager matters, and it’s simply down to the players out there.

When you add in no relegation and the ability for a draft system that ideally gives the shittest teams the best prospects, it further lessens the pressure on managers. In American sports it’s completely possible to go from stinking out the place night after night to elite simply due to a good draft pick. They still don’t understand that no manager in football will ever go from losing every week to winning consistently.

You cannot do an OKC Thunder, lose damn near every game for 2/3 years and lie safely in the knowledge that due to a haul of draft picks, and a few young stars and experienced vets; once your young players have experience that it’s time to challenge for the title. And ultimately win their first ever one at their second try in the playoffs.

It helps us here, but fuck me, that mindset utterly destroyed last season for me.

Nobody listens to American fans.

Aaaanyway,

I will never tire of this one time dominant bully of English football being on their knees getting beat every week.
I hope they stick with this fraud for a long, long time. And when they eventually replace him, I hope the next one is as much of a joke.

I hope this club never returns to their 90's glory days.

Honestly surprised he is still in a job! Clearly he manages upwards very well as they have been woeful for his whole tenure! I think losing to us in an important game is enough to fire a man. But to back him with expensive signings and look somehow worse is terrible!

I only won’t be too upset if we lose to them in our next match, the fact we avoided the Spursiest thing ever and won that final will sustain me for a while with this lot.

I just want to beat Wolves again - or for Wolves to be relegated so we do t have to play them any more . Ideally both

Its Karma and its not done with them. All the Fergie years, Carroll Berbatov the jammy ECL win against Bayern. There's loads in the bank yet.

Heard it mentioned on Talksport earlier, that IF Utd sack Amorim before Dec 1st, they need to pay him £8m? Not sure how true that is?

Apparently it's true.

Amorim is terrible. His whole manner and the comments he makes. I genuinely thought he was a good appointment, but did not biy into the crazy amounts spent on their 3 front men
Just way over their ability.

It would be a huge surprise if Amorim rides the storm, but they have Sunderland on the weekend, and whilst the newly promoted side have been good.....

This is where Xhaka might just use his experience to wind-up the United players. Watch that space.
