It is ridiculous to be spending so much time in Tomas Frank’s thread to be referring so often to a previous manager. Much of the vituperative, deeply personal, commentary and the demeaning epithets suggest a significant degree of projection on the part of some contributors.

I get a kick out of the old-timers coming in here to accuse folks of disrespect and dishonesty, meanwhile they were leading the band as we marched downwards towards relegation...

It'll always be natural to compare predecessors and successors in the same position, especially so soon after a change in staffing. I don't see any reason at all why folks shouldn't discuss Ange in the Frank thread- especially when discussing the differences, changes and improvements. Completely logical discussion.

I don't think there is an Ange obsession here. I think there are a few here that refuse to give him any credit for the Europa win which is farcical. If you don’t give him credit for that, you can't hang the 17th and 20+ plus losses on him. He was out of his depth in the PL but was part of a glorious night in Bilbao. Both things can be true... and just because people question Frank, don't make them Ange lovers.

Still amazes me that people aren't lavishing praise on Frank for managing to squeeze joint 3rd highest scorers out of this team with the attacking crisis we've had.

He's worked on set-pieces and used other devices to manufacture goals without having a proper functioning final third to work with.

Genuinely impressive.
