I'm in Vancouver these days, applied for the tickets two years ago, signed up for the naff presale, and now the price lists have come out for Toronto. It's fucking obscene. Cheapest ticket for me retail will be circa ~$500 CAD retail. I told myself I'd pay $1000 for a ticket just because it's a novelty, literally in my backyard. But $1000 isn't going to get me one on resale I'd wager. There's some up now, but I don't know how seeing as they haven't been released, so don't want to get scammed.
It's a disgrace. For all the talk of the greed of a Superleague, UEFA and FIFA are every bit as bad.

They already have I'm afraid. First world cup to have dynamic pricing, the tickets are like 500% more expensive as well.

Apparently (true? untrue?), bookmakers are refusing bets on 'shootings occurring' (singular or mass) during any of the upcoming games at the world cup in the United States, along with no bets being taken on 'deaths at games caused by gunfire'
