Obviously not a 'sport' as such...but sports entertainment....but the prices to go to Wrestlemania have gone absolutely insane in recent years.

Next year, Row 1 seats are up to $70,000, with other prices ranging from around $1500 dollars for 'nosebleed' seats to $10,000 dollars for floor seats that aren't front row.

I've seen articles encouraging people not to attend, and I would concur with those.

That being said, the boycott will not work. While a lot of supporters around the world have expressed sticker shock with the ticket prices, they are very standard fare for live entertainment in the US (sports, music, etc.). And while the US might not be a football mad nation, it is a "scene mad" nation, and people who can't tell a goal kick from a penalty kick will buy tickets just to take selfies and be part of the event.

Even if US customs closed the border, it would be the most well attended, most profitable World Cup ever.

I'm on the fence about whether I will attend any matches. On one hand, I loathe FIFA and international football and really couldn't care less. On the other, its a life experience that probably won't come around again for 24-32 years which means there's a decent shout I wouldn't be around for a mulligan should I come to regret it.

I looked up some stats on Google...a standard 3 hour game has over a hundred ads..just over an hour...and 11-15 minutes of actual play...the rest is analysis, slow motion replays....etc etc..
11-15 minutes!!!....mind boggling to me...

Well that's certainly true. One of my best friends in college played football as a tight-end and I remember that in a random conversation/debate about athleticism and the sporting merits of american football vs. "soccer" he called foul on me for claiming that the average 3hr or so football game only featured about 13 minutes on average of on-field action, and he was nearly speechless when he looked it up and it was confirmed.
