The standards are a lot higher than Brentford. Losing at home to anyone is unacceptable, especially when you throw away a one goal lead. This idea that us finishing midtable is a good improvement on last season is such a rubbish metric to be using too. We finished 5th the year before under Ange. That should be our base level and anything under top 6/7 will be a failure this season. If Frank thinks its ok to finish midtable then he can fuck off
Stfu, you sucked off that fat scumbag dragging us into the relegation pit lol

How dare you lecture about fucking standards.

All of a sudden mid-table is substandard for us.

What's even Pep doing with Tel, Odobert, Johnson, Richie??

I actually cannot stand you Angetards.

Toxic bastards.

He could switch to an actual back 3 then, giving Porro and Udogie/Spence free rein to bomb forward.

At the moment it's an extremely barren back 6 plus a powder puff front 4. The latter is hardly his fault, but he can take steps to actually address the former.
We kind of did have a back 3 with Bentancur at times.

Spence was underwhelming, I don't know if Odobert was getting in the areas he was supposed to be in. But we seem to rely on overlapping which we didn't see enough of today.

We need a striker who can get on the end of things in the box as well. Tel is more comfortable drifting left and running channels.

And remember Spence was forced due to Udogie injury.

We will continue to have problems, glitches and a certain level of inconsistency until Frank gets this squad right.

Jury is out on Frank of course.

For me he needs to ditch the Bentancur Palhinha CM. It's far too pedestrian.

Palhinha is better so he needs to play, and then we need a Sarr or Lucas in there.

I just think he is making some poor selection decisions so far.

That said, with the injuries we have had, Frank is a bit limited with our attack and what he can do.

He needs time, but he needs to sort our home form out. Today was garbage.
Palhinha shouldn’t be playing in any home games except against the best teams either.

Yeah we'll just have to persist with it.

I'm not a fan of the Bentancur Palhinha pivot but I've accepted that's just how Frank wants to play. I just don't think he's bothered about having a dynamic midfield. Which is fine, but we need to rely more on the wide players and forwards to finish better. And we had two young players in the attack today and it showed.

We're two points off second without having had a functioning final third all season.

Please do crucify the man who has, largely, skilfully navigated this, instead of appreciating it (and him).

Toxic cunts.

This has absolutely nothing to do with Ange. You are the one making it about Ange.

Midtable is not a good finish for us. That's my point. The standard has to be higher than what it was at Brentford. This should be common sense mate. Let's not get all weird and agenda with it

After 8 games last we had 13 points, had scored 18 goals and conceded 9.

This year 14 points, 14 goals, conceded 7.

It's the home form that needs to be changed. Desperately. 4 point from 4 games. That's not sustainable.

Frank was left short with attacking options in summer. It's really showing.

At the end of the day, we're tied for 4th for goals scored and for least amount of goals conceded. So it's not all doom and gloom.

It's a disappointing result, but there have been improvements.

Palhinha shouldn’t be playing in any home games except against the best teams either.

Every team plays with a top 6 and Palhinha is ours. But playing two of them is rancid.

Our attack is powder puff, so to set up with Lucas, Sarr, Tel, Odobert, Simons is just far too lightweight. Only Kudus can hold his own.

A balance is needed but playing both of them is too boring and defensive IMO

It's the way Frank wants to play FOR NOW.

We'll see the way he really wants to play is when he has a fully functioning squad.

It's truly bizarre that the MF is what people are choosing to focus on.

if real life was a football manger game i would just simulated/skip till winter transfer window
really wanna how spend now levy is gone

I wonder if this is down to our limp frontline.

He knows we’re not going to score bagfuls of goals with our crappy forwards so he’s trying to make us harder to beat.

Yeah possibly. I don't like it though.

We just need Tel and Odobert away from the team. They are nowhere near the level we need.

It's what you'd see from a newly promoted side.

I hope your right bro but we've had a relatively easy run of fixtures to start the season and have dropped points in 3 home games we were favourites to win and all 3 times we were passive and allowed the other team to grow into the game.

It's a very worrying trend. People are right to be concerned. Can't just bash everyone as toxic cunts. It's constructive criticism so far. I don't see anyone making personal or abusive comments about him. Everyone is hoping he can prove us wrong

Perhaps that's really his game plan at this point in time. But having said that, Villa were finding space in our midfield and able to play through the middle, so we've not been that watertight under Frank.

Obviously way too early for this kind of take, but I can understand the sentiment, from what we've seen so far, and it'll be up to Frank to show his colours, especially when we have players returning.
