Neither does being 100% happy clappy when the product being served up would be rejected by 75% of the league.
A one off result I don't think is good enough. I want to see performances that reflect points on the board. If we beat them with another horrific performance and just get a lucky break, it's still the same story. We need to start to see that we can control a game and even if the forwards aren't good, we should still be able to create chances for them, something we look incapable of. Our XG from open play yesterday was 0.17. That is embarrassing. Even if we'd drew, still nowhere near good enough.
It's not the results, it's the manner of the performances. We look absolutely terrible and it's getting worse as opposed to better. No manager has had the backing like he did in the summer, he's been here 5 months now. I like Frank, seems like a good guy, but it feels like wrong manager for the wrong club. He could very well go on to be brilliant somewhere else, I doknt think he's a bad manager by any stretch of the imagination, but here, it's just not working.
Was always going to happen when Levy left. All that angst and negativity has to go somewhere, because that's what defines support for some.

If the football on show was entertaining or a semblance of us looking like we know what we're doing with the ball in possession, I'd be happy. But what were being served up is absolutely diabolical. 0.17xg against a very average Villa side is embarrassing.
Performances have been getting worse as we go on. Why would anyone be happy with that? ENIC have said they want the product in the field to be paramount. If what we're seeing now is their ambition for the future of the club, then nothing is going to change.
We have a better record, sit higher in the table, closer on points to the top, with more goals scored and fewer goals conceded after 8 matches than we did after 8 matches under Poch.
Under Ange at this point we were unbeaten and clear at the top of the table.
Summary: drawing conclusions after a manager's first 8 matches is fucking stupid.

Why is a roller coaster ride to be expected. We have a squad full or internationals many of which cost a fortune. A good manager should be able to get a tune out of them. We've spent 200m so far this season and 200m last season. How many more new players do you want? This season has already had a few low points. Why should we accept more... its shameful to accept regression.

Frank is definitely good for the patience he will need. Just needs to get his head around our buildup in midfield because it’s clearly a weakness that other teams have noticed and punished when we are at home.
But you can’t fix that in 8 games, things take time.

We're also 2 points from 11th. We're closer to 13th than we are 1st. We had a very nice fixture list to start the season, yesterday marks the start of a gruelling run until Jan. We failed the first test, miserably, there's not many teams during that run that look winnable given how we're playing.
With Poch, there were clear signs of a playing style, we created chances but couldn't take them. This is turgid, aimless football devoid of any semblance of an idea. We can't control a game at all. Even Ange very evidently transformed how they played and his style was evident from the first game. We're 8 league games in, 5 months into his spell and it's got worse. Nuno rightly got sacked quite quickly because of the same thing we're seeing now, but this is different somehow.
In summary, context matters, and following blindly because someone is new, despite the utter dross being served up, is fucking stupid.
Bad anology. Rollercoasters are exciting. This is like queuing at a busy theme park to get on a rollercoaster. Flat and dull.
