There's a lot of ignorance on this forum regarding Frank. I've come to learn that a lot of people just watch Spurs rather than any other football so can accept the ignorance.

But this needs to be understood by those who never watched Brentford or Frank's journey.

The decently attacking and flowing Brentford from last season was after many years of Frank's hard graft of building them from the ground up, as he was to do with us. To expect us to play like prime Wissa, Mbuemo, Toney etc. inside 10 or so games, is absurd.

He know's we're a young squad that needs moulding. He needs a good amount of time to do that moulding and at least 3 transfer windows.

We must be patient.

There will bumps in the road because of how low we sunk under Ange. He cannot fix it all immediately.

I don't expect it, in today's world of wanting everything now, but, let's give him a wide leash and massive support.

17th to top 4 is an ungodly jump and unrealistic. We should temper our expectations as such.

There is definite progress from last season. This version of Spurs beats last years version.

The trajectory is upward, but some want it vertical.

Great sides are not made overnight.
This version of Spurs is worse than the 2023/2024 version of Spurs. I am not going to sit here smiling at the shit Frank is serving up and check in after 3 transfer windows to see if we are any better. The trajectory has been clear since the Bournemouth debacle and it isn't upwards.

Well exactly but that didn't stop you needlessly and incorrectly taking a jab at our former manager in an otherwise very good assessment of the time and support our current manager requires.

The FACTS are that when Postecoglou had his back 5 available to him we were a Top 4 team on extrapolated points. Of course he didn't have that Back 5 - in fact almost NONE of them when our league season completely collapsed BUT when they did return and were played exclusively in the EL - we didn't lose a game and, of course, won the fucking thing.

So, rather than "how low we sunk" in fact we ended on a massive high and with all the confidence that IF we added offensive and midfield talent to complement what is clearly an excellent Back 5 we should be pushing on this season - especially with Champions League.

But it's become very apparent all those gains were pissed away with yet another poor window and yet more calamitous injuries.

So, yeah, let's not create more pressure on Frank by spurious jabs at a former manager who left with a fucking Trophy in our cabinet. It just makes things worse by comparison.
Mate, dont try and do context for the Franknatics... they simply see 17th and 20+ defeats as a reason to give Frank 3 years of leeway... they even dumb down the Europa League/UEFA Cup as a non trophy to make their point. After winning fuck all for years, you'd think they would dine out on Bilbao. Instead they see it as second rate like the Mr Clutch Cup.

Nicely put.

I think we just need to see something that resembles progress, but undoubtedly if there is a prolonged losing spell or if the owners don't view Frank as that long-term solution,it's a relationship that won't last for too long.

There was absolute no context around finishing 17th. It was the pits. Even with Gray at CB the team we put out was good enough to beat teams Ipswich and Leicester at home.

Ange was a fucking charlatan and it's why he also got sacked after 39 days at Forest. He's an imposter way out of his depth at this level.

He took a regular top 6 team down into the relegation doldrums.

At Forest Sean Dyche gets a win and a clean sheet in his first game. Ange couldn't do either of those in 9 games, he conceded 3 at home to Mittyland ffs.

If you can't understand that what I wrote wasn't a "defence" of the previous manager but a simple factual outlining of where the Club was at in terms of playing staff and morale when the new manager took over in June 2025 then you're either stupid or just so completely obsessed with the former manager that it amounts to the same thing.

SO fucking weird and so fucking pointless. Move the fuck on.

Proper keyboard warrior you are, still giving Ange shit on the Thomas Frank forum!

I can see quite a few people defending Frank and saying we need to give him plenty of time, so he can implement his playstyle. The thing is that this U-ball style we are currently seeing Spurs playing was his preferred playstyle also in Brentford. So I guess a lot of people are then ok that Spurs continue to play like this. I really do not like Frank’s U-ball style.

I understood it wasn’t a defence but you were the one going off on one because a poster mentioned him in comparison with Frank and saying it’s a needless jab!

Its a richly deserved jab 🤣

Probably not, like I say, I don't mind it as an alternative to keep pressure on, but the team can barely create or hit the target.
Last year, was some of the worst football i have seen watching the club.
The past few games has been on a par with that, certainly rode our luck against Monaco, should have been out of sight against us by HT.
Wolves and Villa at home wtf were them games about.
Nowhere near last season.

It isn’t, but I'm happy for you.
I am happy for myself thanks. It's amazing when you don't have your head buried in the sand singing la la la as loud as you can.

We get it, it's not perfect peak Barcelona, but at least it's not chaos, with a group of headless chickens running about in random chaos.

I mean, it took two goals out the blue from moments of individual skill, for Villa to score, other than that, we reduced them to almost nothing...

So, what you speak is complete and utter fundamentally wrong drivel.

And guessing from some of your other posts, I honesty think you actually support another team.

Nothing of what you say, actually matches what is happening in the real world.

Dreadful at the back as in joint 3rd fewest league goals conceded?

We've been overachieving because our keeper has bailed us out. Here you go. Scored 6 more than XG and conceded 2 less than XGA. Performances are starting to catch up with results now.
