No, hard to beat means exactly what it says on the tin. Has less to do with the opposition and more to do with how we are set up to play.

Nobody would have given a flying if Johnson had pinched all 3 points at the end. Style of play and being entertaining always come secondary to the result.

If you want to build a straw man try using your swede before posting, citing a game where we got battered but still didnt get beat is oxymoronic.

Better still try using the games at home we did lose and have to suffer at the stadium ffs.
So Frank's plan is divine intervention to not concede? Okay, seems sustainable. Can't argue with that.

I am happy for myself thanks. It's amazing when you don't have your head buried in the sand singing la la la as loud as you can.

We get it, it's not perfect peak Barcelona, but at least it's not chaos, with a group of headless chickens running about in random chaos.

I mean, it took two goals out the blue from moments of individual skill, for Villa to score, other than that, we reduced them to almost nothing...

So, what you speak is complete and utter fundamentally wrong drivel.

And guessing from some of your other posts, I honesty think you actually support another team.

Nothing of what you say, actually matches what is happening in the real world.

That's your go to answer when you have nothing to say and found out.

Like it elevates you from the s**t swamp you seem to dwell in.

You insult people who disagree with you.

I mean, what part of telling other posters to abuse women, makes you think you have the right to criticise me?

Why don't you take your own advice and put me on ignore.

Then that way, I won't have to keep reminding the forum what a disgusting and vile man you are and why.

You had a good point badly made... the home defeats were a far better example to use yet you allowed your frustration to post without applying logic.

The opposition hadn't lost at home since February and ManC also only drew with them despite Monaco being without 5-6 players.

Goals win games not stats or hocus pocus....over the years I've lost count of the number of times we've had 20-30 shots and not taken all 3 points and as JPG often said "It's a funny old game."

For the record I will always enjoy (maybe not the performance) us getting something out of a game whether we deserved it or not.

Not really that badly made. We were overachieving results wise, getting wins when we had no right to. Performances are starting to catch up with results. We're conceding more chances per game and creating less. That's a worrying statistic. And now we go into two crazy runs in 3 months that we need to be performing well and winning games. We had no right to come out of that Monaco game with a result, anyone with eyes can see that. It's ridiculous we didn't lose and if it wasn't for Vic's best game here we would've. We play with 2 DM's and still conceded 5 big chances.

Divine intervention?

What makes you say that? Apart from Monaco and Bournemouth, we have been pretty solid.

Villa required two moments of individual skill out of the blue to beat us, even against Wolves, it took vicario pushing the ball directly at Palinha for Wolves to get their goal.

And despite this, we still letting than less than one goal a game.

So what part of this is divine intervention?

Or is it Franks realisation that the our strongest part of the team is defence, so a good starting point.

Be solid, keep points ticking over, even if ugly and see if we can get something out of the shit show the rest of the squad is.

Whilst buying time to get to the transfer windows and start strengthen where needed most.

And be in a stronger position for the 2nd half of the season.

We have rough run of games coming up, be prepared for it to be ugly.

Jesus, some of you are so broken you are beyond repair. Ready to accept shit football in some blind hope that we might get better spending 200m in Jan. What about 200m we just spent or the 200m the summer before. How comes your beloved Frank can't get a tune out of them. You telling me nearly half a billion of international footballers are all shit.

I think it's more than Frank is very intelligent on the tactical side. He will analyse every possible weakness in the opposing team with his coaching staff.
The players we have are mostly used to "just play footy - it's not hard mate" and have been headless chickens for 2 seasons under that. It'll take more than a couple of months to get them all in tune.

What great analysis in the Wolves and Villa home games. Some top work by him and his coaching staff there...

You keep blaming Ange for abject performances... I'll focus on the real problem.
