Match Chelsea fuckwits (H) - 1st November, 530KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We really need to win this IMO.
Mainly because we need to sort this winless run at home out, but also because it feels like a lifetime since we beat Chelsea. Don't want to go back to those days where we went 30-35 games without a win in any comp.

Muani has to start. I'd try Richie on the left - I think he is a better LWF than a ST and at least shows urgency in being direct to get the ball in the box and attack the far post. Also good at set pieces at both ends. Kudus on the right. Xavi Simons at #10.

Palhinha -- Bentancur

Otherwise I would argue with you, cause Richie has really looked bad recently. And more focused on theatrical falling down than actually winning the ball.

BUT

It is not like we have better options. I think Odobert is still out with injury?
And it is a derby game against our 2nd fiercest rivals. So we could use some shihousery from him.

So sure, why not him on the wing.
And I would like to see Sarr next to Bentancur, but I think until Frank is head coach and Bentancur have both of his legs attached to his body, he will start 100% of the games (though being fair to him - in last 2 games he has been better than before).

Because the alternatives are not much better.
You could play Tel or Odobert but there's not much cut and thrust there.

Off the Left Richarlison is much better, he just needs to get on the back post and head it back across goal. It's how Sarr got his goal against Everton. Crosses coming in from Porro on the right, knock back by Richarlison so that RKM and Kudus or Sarr are in the box sniffing for a chance. If you go back through our games it's a tactic which generates good chances for us. As I said previously, Chelsea have a height problem hence why I chose Richarlison off the left. He's useless down the middle.
Their keeper Sanchez is also poor from crosses.
Frank was brought in as someone that analyses the opponent, I'm interested to see what he does for this game.

Feeling pretty confident about this one. I think we win 2 - 0, really kickstart a good run of home form.

Gotta make that place a cauldron tomorrow.

If we can replicate that atmosphere vs Woolwich when we won 3-0, I don’t think we lose many at home. Just harder said than done.

Have to be honest, dreading this.

Can't take another home defeat to those pricks.

We simply have to win. These are the types of games that will define Frank's tenure. Can he start setting us up to get results against the likes of Chelsea and Woolwich as opposed to having our pants pulled down like we did under Ange.

Of course, right now we are early on in his reign, and we have injuries, but over the medium to long term, he has to win these types of games at home.

The issue is if we go a goal down, not just because it will set off alarm bells of here we go again, but mainly we aren't really a squad (at present)) that is brimful of goals or creativity.

Think we will do okay, but as I wrote earlier in the week, there is no real reason for that.

Let's just try and show why we are 3rd in n
an almighty unforgiving league.
