Match Chelsea fuckwits (H) - 1st November, 530KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Wasn’t that Skippy’s only goal for us? What an absolute banger it was.
Yes, that was his only goal for us in competitive football. I was sad when it was time for him to go because he was a local lad from my area (actually went to schools and football clubs I knew from my own childhood). He made over 100 appearances for us which is more than a lot of players manage (including big names like Jurgen Klinsmann and Rafael van der Vaart).

Come to think of it, Klinsmann and van der Vaart never scored against Chelsea either!

I love Skipp- feel like he could have pushed on in his career better had we let him stay at Norwich after they got promoted- he was a key player in their side! Barely got off the bench for us after that though.

Skipp played more games for us than Klinsmann because Klinsmann was world class and left our shit show the moment Bayern came for him. VDV could easily have become an absolute legend but was pushed out by AVB and his (now ex) mrs.
To put Skipp in the same conversation as those is like comparing Melissa McCarthy with Margot Robbie.

He got a lot of charity because he was an academy player. They all do. Carrol. Skipp. Townsend. Mason. Etc etc.
If they cost £15m and came from abroad, they never have got anywhere near as much support from fans.

Spurs fans confuse me. On one hand we want to be the best. On the other, we're too happy to have bang average players because they came through the academy or they "try hard"

I didn’t say he was a world beater or anything. We did really hurt his career by keeping him sat on the bench doing almost nothing during key formative years. And there is nothing wrong with wanting the best for the clubs youth.

Him and Winks were always lower half/championship level.
A lot of excuses and revisionism. At their very best they very average.

Muani has to start. I'd try Richie on the left - I think he is a better LWF than a ST and at least shows urgency in being direct to get the ball in the box and attack the far post. Also good at set pieces at both ends. Kudus on the right. Xavi Simons at #10.

Vicario
Porro -- Danso -- VdV -- Spence
Palhinha -- Bentancur
Kudus -- Simons -- Richy
Muani
Yeah, how can't any manager figured that out that a player that is shite in his natural position wouldn't be a lot better in another position?

Winks was one of the worst players to watch in all my time watching Spurs, he was an equivalent of Brennan on the midfield, could do nothing but pass backwards and sideways. Him and Sissonko playing together was the worst midfield I've saw. And people complain now about Palhinha and Bentancur...

Winks was an England international at his peak. A lot of revisionism indeed.
I mean, that's a terrible barometer.

Michael Ricketts, Zat Knight, Francis Jeffers, useless players with caps.
Phil Jagielka - 40 caps. 40! That's more than Michael Carrick.
Chris Smalling 31 caps.
Kalvin Phillips - 31!
Kieran Gibbs 10 caps
Kobbie Mainoo, who IMO is very average and only got picked because Man United, 10 caps.

Then flip it on its head.
Andy Cole, one of the most prolific English forwards of his era. 15 caps.
Steve Bruce, captain of Man United with over 300 games & 9 major honors - not a single cap, ever.
Arguably 53 caps for Glenn Hoddle was criminal.

It used to mean something when you had 5 subs on the bench and only 3 changes per match.
Now they have 11 subs on the bench and up to 5 can come on.
Caps are worthless. If you're English and play for Man United, Spurs, Arse, Chelsea, City, Liverpool and one or two others, chances are, you'll get a few caps.

Thanks Harry Winks and co

Infuriated the FUCK out of me watching him pass back to the CB time after time after time.
