Player Guglielmo Vicario

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The absolute definition of a fraud football team is one that hides behind the crowd. Its pathetic Vicario had a good couple of weeks after some utter garbage, back on the naughty step. Don't care if hes 33 let's buy Ter Stegen an give snowflake some real competition. Because that's what's ACTUALLY wrong with the team it way too comfy and fucking easy.

This is a common trend on here .. a player will have a shite 6 months, score a goal in two matches and have people saying ‘where r da haters’ and tag people. It happened with Richarlison at the start of this season FFS.

Vicario has had a stretch of really impressive games after a few where he cost us. Rather than having a pop at the fans he should probably be quiet and focus on a top, consistent season.

Honestly shocked at that interview! You can’t expect loud crowds when you charge people a fortune (pricing out the fans who will make a noise and replace them with tourists who are more concerned about selfies and merch) and then delivery a pathetic display like the weekend. Something has to give! They are paid to entertain and they are not doing so! The punters deserves to be unhappy about that

For that statement alone, I would:
1) Demote him and put Kinsky as No.1
2) Ship him out in January.

When you lose or fail to win any of your home matches, don't ever mention the fans unless you want to apologize.

Mr. Vicario, would you explain to us how the cheats' crowd at the stadium, cheered them to open a hole in your team's ykw?

Normally I'm onside with your opinions, but Vic is maybe the only player we have who can truly hold their head up and say they've done well. He's the only reason we're not lingering down in the depths.

But his comments were very silly and he should address that, especially as part of the leadership group. I feel like the disconnect between players, manager and fans is already in the early stages of implosion. Every bad result now is going to be very toxic around the club. Hopefully something is done while the season gets away from us.
Mate he has done well of late... he has also been culpable in some utter stinkers. He has zero right to be pointing the finger at the fans. He should have simply apologised for yesterday's cowardice.

Its too easy at Spurs, Spence the same, he's a right back playing leftback who has loads to learn about his actual position hes playing every game. Porro terrible rightback can't defend plays every game the lack of real elite competition has made a few of these lads Mickey included think they are untouchable. And they are not matter how bad they are. Anthony Robinson, Edmund Tapsoba, Victor Oshimen, Manuel Locatelli, Ter stegen, Rayan Roche, this profile of addition will help start changing who we are.

This season, apart from the Brighton game he's been our best player, by a mile. I want him upgraded as soon as possible as well, don't get me wrong. But this season he's been otherworldly for the most part.

But I agree that they all have it too easy. You get rewardsled for mediocrity here. The Benta contract gives me the impression that for all of the owners talk, nothing has chnanged, or will change. The circus continues.

I understand why the players are upset at the booing. Because the booing was not just for the pathetic performance on Saturday. It was also for years and years of pathetic performances against Chelsea. And that is not most of the players' fault.

The players do not understand that these boos are years in the making. They are for the constant decline this entire club has been under since the end of the poch days.

Fuck them all at this point tbh.

The fans have been more than understanding and they've put in dogshit performance after dogshit performance. Give the fans something to cheer and they'll oblige. It's not down to them to give the players some professional pride. They're paying some of the highest prices in the league and it's fair to expect better from these gutless cunts

It's not the first time he's come out with this shit either.

The difference Vicario probably needs to remember is;

He is paid millions of pounds to be there.

We pay a large proportion of our significantly smaller wages to be there.

Thats the dynamic. Whether he likes it or not.

Such a weird dynamic with this squad. We don’t like them, and they don’t like us.

Which games were this? Are you talking this season?

He’s definitely been culpable/questionable on a few occasions this season. Prior to this run he was getting a lot of stick on here and in the media about whether he was the required level.

Since then - unreal. But he’s inconsistent imo and terrible with his feet.

People keep saying this but whenever I press them for specifics I get crickets (or ridiculous answers like he should have stopped Rodgers goal)

Im hardly his biggest fan but the bloke has been incredible all season. Donnarumma had a massive flap on the weekend. Vic hasn't had anything g like that kind of gaffe this year.

So far... :cautious:

The goal against Bournemouth was definitely partly on him. He also flapped it in to the path of a Leeds player for a goal.

Eh? Bournemouth goal was a massive deflection - and he spent the rest of game somehow keeping it to just one goal as they peppered the absolute fuck out of us.

And the Leeds one wasn't a "flap" it was a ridiculous save that took TWO deflections on its way through to him and he somehow kept it out but couldn't adjust for the change of pace to "get it away" - even then Udogie should have reacted quicker.

The only one I know of that seems anythjng
Like an error was Ayari's shot vs Brighton - and that ball moved like a fucker through the air.

Vicario is absolutely bang on. The stadium is completely toxic and the fans create an atmosphere that’s stifling and restricts their ability to express themselves and try progressive football.

I am one of those fans. I was fuming and boo’d and grumbled on Sat.

The root cause is not the very average players, or the angry and disgruntled fans who are ripped off season after season.

Ter Stegen in 2025 😭😭😭, people really don't watch much football at all.

Even MORE reason to get our moneys' worth then, and make the most of our ludicrously expensive purchase by JOINING in with the WHOLE experience, which includes singing, chanting and helping to be PART of a raucous atmosphere.... Not just take selfies of it and 'pretend' you're part of it...
To use the car crash analogy, there are those responsible for the accident, there are those whose first instinct is to DO SOMETHING to help, and there are those who whip their phones out and just gawp at it unfolding, unwilling to help, but comment endlessly afterwards about how AWFUL it was to witness!

Spence and VdV leaving the pitch early was merely copying THE THOUSANDS of fans who ALSO left early... NO one is bothering to put a shift in right now, regardless of what wage they're on!

I think this IS key...
This expectation that the players HAVE to perform BEFORE they start supporting is as unrealistic as the players expecting the fans to be happy when things don't go well...

Obviously the fans can't physically play on the pitch....
And likewise, the players can't vocally support from the stands...

Each component has it's responsibility... AND EVERYONE INSIDE THE Stadium should be expected to do their bit;

Players play, Crowd Support .. they can and SHOULD happen at the same time, irrespective of 'who starts first'.

The fucking AWAY fans and Players always seem to fulfil THEIR side of the bargain!!!
