I’d suggest slagging off Frank for his repetitive language in interviews is as fucking idiotic as slagging off Ange for coughing and looking at the floor.

However, if you were the idiotic kind to take badly to Ange’s interviews, you’ve got very little defence of Frank.

Spurs fans just can't help themselves. It was only a matter of time before they started nitpicking tiny personal habits.

Frank's best comment at the presser...

"Who's Eze?"

Let's hope it doesn't come back to bite him up the bum.

Personally, I think people should concentrate on what is communicated - not how it is communicated.

I listened to Poch repeat "I think we play berry well" every match for week after week when we'd looked like headless chickens in his diamond formation. That's the kind of thing that pisses me off, or a manager doing what Ange turned into, acting like he couldn't hear booing, didn't cup his ear to the fans, that there's no issue with set pieces when we conceded from them constantly. Like trying to tell everyone they're wrong about something obvious.
Or, as much as Tim was on-point in his criticisms, hearing him or Conte veer away from "us" and more to "them". Those kind of things are more powerful insinuations in words

I feel like the criticism in this current part of the thread is just the most absurd excuse to try and make something out of nothing, based on the fact he has mannerisms.

The ‘Man of the People’ while Sugar was staring at him thinking WTF?

But yet that season under a Francis (that got him sacked) and Gross (that basically got him sacked) with a shite squad that has at least 12 players of 30 or older got 6 more points that Ange managed last season.

I think without Sugar and with a decent squad Gross might have had a fairer go at the PL. He was successful everywhere else

There’s loads of things you can have issue with about our past and present managers. Not having perfect diction isn’t one. Nor is coughing. Nor is not staring lasers into the interviewers eyes.

I do assume with Poch that it wasn’t his pronunciation of “very” that pissed you off, more his outright lies about how we played? No issue with that whatsoever, but as you say, picking on mannerisms and “lingual ticks” is a poor show.

More of a point that he had lingual ticks but it wasn't that which was annoying - it was like a complete lie to the fans, or worse a total ignorance towards things someone's football illiterate nan could see.
I mean, we could have a field day with Harry Redknapp and his pull-cord sayings that would fall out of his mouth if that was the intent. And he's just about first language english.

I don't quite get why someone would be so wound up by some verbose emphasis applied. It's bizarre to have "should use the word 'really' less" as a genuine criticism of a manager

So if he is not inheriting a mess I think it just proves that Ange was way out of his depth in the PL , add in his stint at Forest who look 100 times better just for him not being there it’s very much a case of thanks for the EL but the best decision Levy and Enic ever made was to send big Ange packing!
You think I'm an Ange fan don't you.... I wanted him out at end of his first season
