No you are being disingenuous for comparing this situation to Nuno's situation because as I said we had Conte waiting in wings to takeover...who do we have to replace Frank if we get rid?

You need to stop lying, for once, can you manage that?
It's the same situation. Two mangers at lower level clubs that couldn't cut it when they got a step up. End of.

That'll be up to the club. He's not going to get sacked because I said it here. He's going to get sacked because he's not a good fit here. They will choose the replacements. That being said I'd like Hoeneß, if Areola or Glasner aren't available, even if they are.

This terror ball won't be accepted after this, so the choices are vast.

Not sure if he's cut out for a top team. Too nice from what I've seen so far and for me looks miles off in tactics, motivating and his touchline persona today. I don't want nice guys, I want people who know what they need to do to get the players understanding every how serious they should take their job. Looks out of his depth early on but of course deserves more time to familiarise himself with this new level of role and club. End of the season and we see if things show better signs

The point isn't just bringing in any old manager, though.

If things get worse under Frank and we can actually get someone like Hoeneß mid-season and think he's our guy long term then sure, fuck it, let's go.

In reality I think our absolute best bet is gonna be someone like Marco Silva who's another "meh" manager that will probably do better than Frank but also someone we'll be looking to replace before too long.

My main reason for backing Frank atm, ironically, isn't anything to do with Frank. It's so we're actually in a position to attract a decent manager in the summer who we can give a full pre-season and the best chance of succeeding.

Bringing in the wrong guy or a stop-gap right now is worse than sticking with Frank imo, hence I think we should stick it out with him as long as we can. Of course, if things get completely untenable he's gonna have to go, but until then I think we just ride it out and hope he can somehow get things working. And if we finish mid-table and performances don't significantly improve we bin him in the summer and give the new guy a proper chance.

You're talking to a brick wall, pointless

People that want him sacked aren't even thinking about who they want in, who's actually available, who will come in and take the job and who will come in and actually do a job etc...they just want him out that's it, it was exactly the same under Ange...I'd ask this question and people would go quiet because the alternative was Ryan fucking Mason, we don't even have him to turn to now lol

Until the club act (if they do) we just have to sit tight with Frank, they didn't spend all that money and waited on his back room staff (again majorly different to Nuno's sit) just to sack him after 5 months and 1 transfer window.

Guess we have to stuck it out but it's Nuno all over again and hard to see it changing. But I can't see us doing anything now. He finishes out the season and prob leaves unless something drastically changes.

Every goal today he's over on the computer looking at the data. It's a North London Derby ffs. Where's the passion? I'd the same problem with Ange. Atleast Conte would be running up and down the line and starting an argument with arteta. So hard to defend Frank right now.
I bloody hate that when him and his staff out scribbling notes and so on. Look at the bloody game. If they are making notes on what they are seeing then fucking bark out the instructions to players. His comments post match about being too passive or whatever is the same every game. Surely you can see that in build up to first goal and even before. I was screaming that before they scored. We sat back too much and let them pass. No one was engaging their players. They were doing it to us all over pitch like chavs did and we can’t handle it. How many more games must he learn the same thing from. Yday he should played like psg put kudus in middle slo g side Richi and played Xavi behind them.

I am not in the world of being fooled. That should be apparent to all and sundry.

Today had all the hallmarks of a loss, especially after yesterday.

Those who live in a fantasy world saw a mirror that was lying to them, or they refused to believe the reflection.

We move on.
Move on again, you’ll say that after Wednesday. At least show some fight. I really wish we kept some of our academy players. They would have more fight. Bringing on Johnson in NLD when you are getting wiped is not the solution.

The board have gone all out for him and hired practically all of his Brentford backroom staff so I don't see them getting rid anytime soon.
Not sure exactly what experience they all bought to a club aiming for CL and PL tbh. Vinai said Frank ticked all the boxes they were looking for which I would like to know what they were. He certainly ain’t ticking box of developing young players as he has virtually benched them all bar Wilson and Tel on occasion. The academy players ALL sent out which is a disgrace. Dane getting virtually 0 mins when Richi and Tel have done nothing.

Questions will be coming thick and fast now, and rightfully so. Our gameplan today was Try Not to Lose. Left every creative outlet on the bench to play stodgeball. Appalling attitude to front up to our biggest rivals with, regardless of their run of form.

Not on the Frank Out train just yet, but I'd be wiggling my tits at Xavi if this keeps up. Was always my first choice and felt like a significant step for our squad and footballing culture.

I'd take Hoeness otherwise if he can be tapped up. Seems like a good fit for this club, if we've a shred of our philosophy left.

All comps we are W 8 D 5 L 6, GOALS FOR 32- AGAINST 20.
Last season 11-2-6, 41-21.
We have won 3 fewer, lost the same. Scored 9 fewer, conceded 1 more.
This season: EPL 5-3-4, 20-14
Last season 6-1-5, 27-13.
One fewer points, one fewer win, 7 fewer goals scored, 1 fewer goals conceded.
There is myth that he has improved us in defence. It is BS said it so many times we cough up chances so
Much even when we have everyone back. There is no marking, following runners or closing down. Frank is labelled as a tactical / defensive coach bcos he was with a lower level team with Brentford who have to play that way mostly. However, that didn’t prevent them from losing lots of games. The odd game or two it would work a dream but on the whole it’s not sustainable for a season.

Not buying better players as one of the world's biggest clubs is, the main reason for the mess we are in.
May be bit he is meant to be this great coach and tactician. 2 weeks to prepare with his coaching staff on game plan and tactics. All they did was take the chance game and do the same. It’s rinse and repeat. The manager is not instilling any will to win or fight in the players. Said it so many times klopp never had the best players but sure as hell he’d get them fired up and they would run through brick walls for him. Can’t see same with Frank.

Have defended TF all season despite saying I haven't been convinced.

Let's be honest this game is almost always a defeat but I thought he might have developed something looking like an organised side by now though, even if results had not have followed.

I'm concerned. I'm not quite Frank out but that's mainly because I can't name a suitable replacement. Like someone said, if he is sacked tomorrow I wouldn't care - but I do suspect a gutless and spineless squad is a huge part of the problem that would still exist post-Frank should he depart sooner rather than later.
Klopp till end of season? I bet he would instill some fire and passion into players and make them feel 10 feet tall. Not saying we need to push the button but if we were to he would be available for short term surely?

Klopp is done with management. And he has said 1000 times that he won’t manage again in the Premier League. Why the fuck would Klopp want to join us anyway? He literally has nothing to prove.

I disagree with the approach to the match, but that doesn't mean I'm going to tear my hair (what's left of it) out and start demanding Frank be fired. If you're looking for meaning in today's result it is simply that it reflects where the talent level (also allowing also for injuries) of each squad is at this moment. Knowing that I think Frank had a chance to open things up and try to get on the board early to settle the team and because it was the best chance to win. In this case, being pragmatic should have meant being aggressive. Under Postecoglou we had a season that started really strong and faded. My sense of this season is it will be the other way around, stronger in the second half.
Their forward line bar Saka is average.

This might actually be believable if it didn't come after so many other shit performances of the same nature.
I'll probably calm down a bit next few days but it's getting very hard to back him

What was the intention? Could him and the back room staff not have seen this after say 10/15 minutes and barked out instructions! wtf does he always say this AFTER the game as if he knew what was happening but didn’t act on it. Baffles me that the scribble down so much shot and look at their iPads and clipboards that I reckon they forget the game is actually being played live on grass.

Oh yes if he had just barked out instructions, these players would have magically turned into prime Barca.

Plenty of legitimate reasons to criticize Frank and we act like this shit is the difference. For example, he should have known this XI would perform like this. We should roll and die with Bergvall and Sarr, who are actually part of the future and not freaking Bentancur.

Franks options at forward are laughable.
