i reckon frank turned down the chance to sign grealish, it felt like that anyway, if thats the case, thats worrying. dont worry about the 'no dickhead' rule, worry about getting footballers in who can make the ball stick up in the final third and keep it, couldnt give a fuck if they spend their spare time in beach clubs. give me 11 party boys that are actually useful with a football over 11 choir boys like little harry winks.

I get you. The only thing I'd say is we could see more attacking intent under Poch even though it was very up and down.

Frank has to get us attacking more. Does he deserve time to do that?

Absolutely yes. But it needs to happen, and relatively quickly.

Then he'll get more patience with erratic results.

I’m just not a fan of our attacking options but yeah he's got to get a tune out of them. Go back to a palhinha, bergval, Sarr midfield as it has a bit of everything. I wouldn’t play kudus, I think he’s a 1 good game in 6 player. Try and get something out of Muani/Xavi/odobert.

Still doesnt feel enough goals in that side though.

Based on ITKs during the summer, and what he did at Brendford (also, he is a Scandinavian) , He wants players like MGW, Morgan Rogers, Wharton, Mbeumo, etc.

Basically, he wants players to first have effort, strength, fight, physicality, stamina. Then flair, style, is a good to have treat. He seems to not mind having one or two silky players, but his view seems to be that basic team structure should consist of grit and determination. We do not have this type of players atm except for 2 or 3 maybe.

He does not know what to do, or how to coach the likes of Tel, Odobert, Xavi, Johnson, because you cannot teach toughness. Richy has physical toughness and determination, but he lack the very important football IQ.

If the club is to stick with him, he will need at least January, and next summer to start shaping the squad the way he wants.

I, perosnaly, much prefer to have a manager who knows football, and how to adjust and adapt to get the most of his players, individually and collectively based on their skills and attributes. That's why I really wanted Glasner, and still want Naglesman. These type of managers, no matter what players they have, they get their teams performing.

But, it is early. Remember the pain Arteta had to go through while shaping that team. They look now like the finished product. So, maybe patience might be the choice here. Unless Nagelsman becomes available :)

Woolwich wom the cup in Arteta's first year beating Chelsea and City.
Arteta was more like Poch and has unfortunately pushed on
Hate to say this - but when we beat them 3 - 0 to get CL. We got lucky with the sending off. They were the better footballing team - and did much better the next season than us.

Frank shows no sign aa being as good as Arteta..Poch is a better comparison

Just people here trolling since day 1. Mad for ange back. Most people know its been shit so far but are willing to have a bit of patience for a chance to see a turn around.
Stop being a dullard... there is no connection between wanting Frank sacked and wanting Ange back. A lot of posters are done with Frank and I've only seen one saying they would take Ange back. Get a grip!!!

I'd try the three youngsters... Gray, Bergvall and Sarr... got to be better than Bentancur, Palhinha and one other. I'd also play Simons coming in off the left with Udogie overlapping. Kudus on the right and RKM up top until Solanke is back. Rest of team picks itself but for the avoidance of doubt Porro at RB.

I thought we played them off the park that night. Atmosphere was electric and the last true time this club felt as one.

I guess some of us are just sick to the back teeth of us appointing underwhelming, uninspiring managers only to have our doubts confirmed as the matches unfold.
I certainly never called for Poch or Conte or even Mourinho to be sacked
Tbh when we hired poch I was really excited with that appointment. I based that on how Southampton tore us apart under him and we couldnt get near them until bale scored a world. Since poch left us none of the managers have deep down hit the spot when we hired them. The only ones I would have is poch back Tuchel, de zerbi or iraola.

I was at White Hart Lane for that game. Scenes that will stay with me forever.I was ecstatic. I support the club. The fact that fraud lucked out and threw his philosophy out the window to try to save his bacon is irrelevant. You love him I love Tottenham.
He did what was needed at the time... Locked in! What else could he have done with that injury riddled squad?

Those optimistic among us would have pointed to him potentially learning lessons, growing different ways of playing for different games and adapting when needed...

Think it's mental how you use it as a stick to beat him with. As if you would have rather be went gung-ho and lost just you would have been vindicated.

The question is though, was Ange's pragmatic sides (injury ridden) more structured and solid than those we're seeing from Frank? I remember them certainly providing more threat than what we're seeing currently...
