Not sure what he was shielding v goons. I think his got charging into people near touchline or other areas. However his position as a 6 means he should be outside our own box sniffing danger. He sometimes is nowhere to be found. Compare with caicedo for Chan’s the way he wins the ball back outside their pen box. Not saying Paul is not good but let’s not make him out to be a caicedo, kante and the like. Plus he is very leggy when we are running back.
