Palinha is diabolical. Seems good because he can tackle, but him playing is total detriment to the team. He can do nothing except tackle. When he plays, we can't shift the ball forward, he can't pass, he can't dribble, so the ball stays in our third and teams pick us off with their press.
No coincidence that as soon as he went off today that we were in the ascendency. Obviously our refusal to do anything but cross or play for set pieces meant we created nothing, but as soon as he comes off, it's like a choker collar has been removed.

Bayern obviously figured this out very quickly, and got rid of him very sharpish. No doubt we'll sign him in the summer.
Yes he’s diabolical, a team like Bayern would definitely not be interested in a player that shit would they?

The first proper 6 we’ve had in ages and been crying out for. Our only midfielder that would play for top European teams.

No get him out. What is your choice of midfield? Yes it probably makes sense to take the DM off when you’re 2-0 down mate.

I’d go for Paulinha 6, berg or Sarr 8 and Simons 10.

Exactly my point im not sure the 4 he signed are better than what we have.

Kudus is better Johnson. But im not sure hes better than kulusevski.

Simons isn't better than Maddison.

I personally prefer Bentancur to Palhinha.

Muani isn't a better CF than Solanke, but he is better than Richarlison.
Not saying they are better. We’ve added quality to the side, if we had everyone fit it would be an OK squad. Still think it needs big improvement, especially attacking areas, a class CM and FB cover. Need to sell some dross too

Muani is not a better Centre Forward than Solanke.

PSG paid 75million for 10 league goals in 36 league games...(cost more, weaker league)

We paid 60million for 9 league goals in 27 league games...(cost less, stronger league)

Explain.
Muani looks class. Solanke is a cast off from Chelsea, Liverpool. Bournemouth must have laughed all the way to paying less for his replacement, an international CF.
The England manager has disregarded Solanke.
How much would we get if we put him up for sale, which apparently is what Frank wants to do.

Muani is a decent player, but hes not a better Centre Forward than Solanke.

Bournemouths CF replacement has 11 goals in 41 games.

Solanke 9 in 27.

Why would we put him up for sale? He's one of our best players... hes just unfortunately injured right now.

They signed him, played him for a few games, and very quickly realised that he's a terrible technician, hence willing to lose him for half of what they paid for him a year earlier. That doesn't happen to very good players.

We needed a 6 under Ange, with the suicide defending. With a normal set up, we need a ball carrying 6 that can tackle a bit, as in not the only thing they can do. Playing Pal invites pressure on us because he's just absolutely shambolic on the ball. And we can't move the ball forward.

He goes off or doesn't play, and suddenly we can move the ball a bit, not much because we're still handicapped by Frank's "tactics". Pay attention next time you watch him, he's dreadful.

There are four candidates at end of season imo, Poch, Tuchel, Glasner or Iraola. My choice would be Tuchel after World Cup. Whoever the club decides they need lots of help in the transfer window.

He isn’t a complete 6 but is very good at the dirty, ugly side of a modern DM. He can also drop in tactically to make a third CB.

A manager like ‘Arry would’ve loved to have a player like that in his squad. Giving the other 2 midfielders licence to go forward, along with the FB’s too. I personally think Frank has been too passive recently with the midfield choices, although we currently have fuck all attacking midfielders who could play centrally.

It’s the same as when we play Berg at 10. He’s fucking dreadful there but you can’t say a bad word against the lad. Simons is our only current midfielder who has an ounce of creativity in him. He’s very light weight but that’s why you have the likes of Paulinha and a proper Bissouma at 8. 3 proper attackers ahead of them and threat from the full backs.

There's just no place for Pal in this team. We don't have the technical players to carry him, so we suffer even more than necessary while we play him.
Might be decent, but we absolutely don't have the right players to play with him, and the insistence of playing him every game is ridiculous. There is absolutely no need to have him playing against Fulham at home.

Good grief. People want to talk about the atmosphere around the team, yet the internet is full of people ready to change managers again. We've got the right manager, we've got many of the players who will be here when things turn around, and you heard from the stands in the second half a much louder fan base. This is a conversation to be had at the end of a season, not during one. I don't believe it will be necessary then. Things are going to improve and not that far into the future.
Wow.....do u also know the winning lottery numbers....mate you are miles off

Break the bank for Glasner- tell him you'll give him whatever he wants. Iraola might be gettable if he is under pressure now too.

Xavi Hernandez would be potentially transformational, but also might be too much coming into a situation like this.

Marco Silva, who of course beat Thomas and co today, would be another good candidate too.

I wanted Frank to create a team with some identity. I would have accepted us to be in this position at this time if i could at least see a beginning of something. Right now it's like staring into a black hole. Nothing.
What is Frank trying to achieve? I don't know, I can't see any traces of it in how we play.

I might be naive, but shouldn't a good manager have been able to implement something in this time?

I wouldn't mind giving him more time if I could see something to make me hope it will change. But no. I can't see anything positive.

I don't know if there are any better coaches out there available. But I'm pretty fed up with what Frank is serving.

I really don't know if changing managers at the moment will change anything , we have far too many players that simply don't have the ability , character nor heart for this level , we could bring in Fergusson or Klopp and they would struggle .
I've come to the conclusion that we are in a long term rebuild , then the question is , "is Frank the man for the rebuild ?".
