I swear Gooners actually run our club!

Because 17th...

He really didn't.... but he continued the 'good' work!

I have thought this for years.

I wouldn't say gooners.

I would call it the same financial interests.

Spurs have been handicapped by Sugar and Levy's methods for 34 years.

At the point that Sugar got involved with Spurs we were far closer to Woolwich, in terms of ambition and trophies, during the preceding 30 year period.

The period of TISA and the potential for supporters to take the club over from Scholar is where these opportunists carried out a coup.

Well THERE'S food for thought...

My question would be, why didn't WE benefit from THEM, why do THEY always have to be seen to be benefitting off OUR dysfunction and misfortune?

Btw, that must be a marriage made in hell...
Anyone know if they're still together, or did her smugness finally send him over the edge and he fucked off somewhere quiet and Goonerless?

Do you remember when Currys and Dixons were both on every High Street in the land 'competing' with one another for electrical goods punters?

It all seemed legit until someone discovered that they were actually the same entity and they were probably fixing the prices into the bargain; having killed off all the other serious competiton.

Woolwich have always been interlopers in North London and the dirty tricks go back a long way.

This all started with Sir Henry Norris.

Spurs are now the club who have a stadium that is not exclusively a football stadium.

We were told this would help the football operation.

Is it really?

Or do our current / future owners now have more than one way to skin a cat?

If the option was keep Frank until at least the summer, or an interim option of Southgate or Brendan Rogers, what are you taking?

They won the Euro Lottery two weeks running when David Dein somehow discovered AW coaching in Japan .

The divergence is all down to that . We were level pegging before he arrived.

The only consolations are ;

1) They’ve never found a replacement for AW .

2) David Dein left after being made an offer he couldn’t refuse by some dodgy Russian “businessmen “ .

Their time has hopefully been and gone, for now at least .

I've always believed that Dein had something to do with Defoe being left out of the 2006 England squad when Theo Smallcock went along for the ride as a 16 year old.

Dein was involved in the F.A. at the time.

Our number 23 also signed for Dein.

I agree; a very effective operator to put it mildly . Thankfully he got ousted in a “ boardroom coup “ by very unpleasant yet far less competent people. I’m glad that happened.

At least he got to see his son marry our vice-chairman’s daughter. A bit like what used to have in the middle-ages , when the Hapsburgs were becoming a thing .

The difficulty is that he already had a summer window. Give him January as well before inevitably being binned off and you’ve got 5-7 players bought for him to go with the 8-10 from the previous manager than the new guy has to get a tune of of.
I think you should recruit for the club.

By all means let the current incumbent sign off on the selections, but buy players who fit the club ethos first and foremost.

When club managers only tend to have a job expectancy of 18 months it makes no sense to purchase manager specific players.
