Weird how much you hate winning trophies, yet claim to be a supporter.

Everyone is frustrated and I think a lot of it can be attributed to where we were at the start of this decade... we were so far ahead of Woolwich in 2020 but didn't capitalise from a position of strength and now it's like the early Sky years all over again... they look like they are on the crest of winning everything for the foreseeable. The problem for all of us is that we had someone we could channel that frustration towards. He's now gone and so we are channelling it in other directions. Players, manager, ourselves. If you think about it, what a masterstroke from our board. They have successfully taken the heat of them and managed to get us fighting amongst ourselves. The biggest concern I have is not whether we can turn this around but whether we've hit rock bottom yet...

THis fake argument is all you guys have and it's boring.

Personally I hated travelling 9 hours a day to a stadium to watch us lose more often than not, which granted is also happening now. But to pine for those days is mental.
I'm pining for a manager who prioritises attacking football and knows how to win trophies. Two things this club used to be famous for.

Not taking into account Anges first season results (we finished 5th) or the fact he had 11 first teamers injured for most of last season, means you're not being very objective.

I agree with you. But not on your expected time for build-up.

In 18 to 24 months, you should be able see progress - we didn't under Ange. He was not tactically versatile enough for the Prem.

But Frank has been in the job for a few months. We can't expect him and the team to challenge for Top 4 when we're trying to implement a new philosophy. What we can expect, however, is that they fight there asses off.

The danger is that he does implement his philosophy

Ange Season 1
After 13 games - 3 losses.
Had Son, Madison, Kulusevski,

Ange Season 2
After 13 games - 5 losses
Had some injuries

Frank Season 1
After 13 games - 5 losses
No Madison, no Kulusevski, no Solanke, sold Son

Give it a few months. What we're seeing at the moment is nowhere near the best or worst of anything.
Especially when you consider that since the useless Arse match, we've lost 2 games due to thunderbolts and brainfarts.

Passing the ball side to side and backwards then losing it over and over again isn't "attacking football"

Fuck off.
Seriously, stop being fucking thick.

We spent 90 fucking minutes passing around the outside of the fucking box. It was fucking AWFUL.

If you don't like Frank, then fine.
If you want Frank out, then fine.

But Ange was a useless fucking prick who won a competition almost any of our prior coaches would have won if
1) They weren't sacked for the corresponding league form
2) Didn't have to contend with champions league knock downs
3 Had the incentive of CL football for winning it.

He wasn't special.
The football was fucking woeful.
The Europa League is just about the easiest thing to win other than the Conference league given points 1-3 above.

Poch joined us in his early 40’s. Frank is in his early 50’s. This matters.
Poch devised a pressing game at Southampton that was innovative and aesthetically pleasing and meant he was going to get snapped up by a big club.
It’s taken Frank 10 years longer because his football has never been perceived as Poch’s was and no big club had been excited at what he might bring.

It's another example of how Levy's bad critical thinking skills are.
And a worry that the other clowns who help choose him - are still around.

The smart move would be to get rid now - and get Xavi in.
To do that - they have to appreciate sunk costs bias.

I want Frank to achieve what Ange did. If he cant do that, then why did we sack Ange?

Make it make sense? And why are fans like you so supportive of a manger who is less successful than another? Its just really weird behaviour.
