That’s not actually true. The darkest hour is never before the dawn, it’s several hours before the dawn.

I don’t know where that saying comes from but it’s nonsensical.

:mourweird:

I think it’s about optical perception and how photo-receptors in the retina adapt to low-light / almost dark conditions. And its reversal .

It’s a physiological optical phenomenon , literally a trick of the eye .

But strictly speaking it isn’t true, I agree . But it can help cheer people up , in certain situations.

Funny feeling we might get a result tomorrow night. Just think the team and players have to react. We've such a healthy squad. Romero back too. No excuses not to be up for this game!

I’m moving my Wednesday night workout to Tuesday.

We’re going to get trashed.

How the rest of us are feeling as we settle down to watch

Players for player i think we are more talented than them. Think they will come at us hard early. We withstand that and impose our game we have a chance. If we play like pussies we will get rolled over.

I wish I could do that too.
Maybe I'm an addict with masochistic tendencies

In the last +10 years I watched every game except that one fa cup game at Wembley (vs Wimbledon? )
There were no tv cameras and people watched facebook streams from supporters in the stadium 😅

My level of pessimism going into this week is on last few months of ange territory now.

Either Frank turns it around in the next 2 matches or it's over.
I wish I could fast forward a few weeks or months

I know what you mean but that’s the same funny feeling some posters had before the NLD and Chelsea and just about 1 or 2 before psg...

So idk I wouldnt trust that feeling 😜

Interesting in a philosophical kind of way.

The darkest hour whatever and whenever it may be is the worst point. The lowest of the low. A bit like the shortest day is that with the least daylight hours.

Thereafter it gets slightly brighter and for longer, but initially it is largely imperceptible.

So I think there is a darkest hour but with a dawn that is rarely instantaneous but where you can look back and think it got no worse, so in theory it could only have been better, if not quite dawn immediately.

It’s incredible isn’t it? And you’ve got fans who seem to blame the stadium atmosphere for the results.

Well when the stadium was empty the results were still shite so what was the issue then?

If that ground was empty every week we’d still be getting turned over because the team is lacking in character and quality.

But yeah let’s blame the fans..
players should've been running through walls yesterday desperate to change their fortunes and the fact that they weren't is pretty much everything that's wrong with tottenham. (i don't know why they weren't)
