Ooof this is not good reading.

Absolutely! Mad thing was that Ange was basically the opposite of these sort of stats. Definitely felt like we've road our luck and scored more goals against the run of play / random worldies this season the last...

Richarlison despite his flaws and people slagging him off has scored some great goals this season.

I would suggest this points to our squad / ability being better than many are now all of a sudden giving us credit for. Frank at present just isn't getting enough out of the lads.

Not showing people-management skills. I read and heard many bring a good point. Who among the squad got better from last season? I tried to answer it and then though "That's an excellent point".

Needs to work on that. Not looking good because, if you don't have it, you don't have it. But, I am patient and it is still too early.

What exactly has Poch done when he hasn't had Kane, Eriksen, Son, Dembele and that whole squad at his disposal. Nothing at Chelsea (who admittedly were a mess). Nothing at PSG (he somehow didnt even win the league one season). Nothing at USMNT.

Who is to say Poch is a good manager at all and didn't just have a fortunate spell when we actually knew how to recruit and develop players?

Tbf Poch turned the Chav ship around by the time he left. Sadly...

Are we though? We finished 17th last season (as people never seem to get tired of mentioning - including our current manager).

In fact in the last 5 years we've finished outside the top 6 more often than we've finished in it, and I don't think there's much chance of us finishing top 6 this season either, do you?

I do agree that there are plenty of managers out there who'd like to try their hand at managing Spurs, but how many of them are likely to be any good?

Or perhaps more to the point ho
w many are going to be good enough to satisfy our entitled fanbase?
By every metric you use other than what's on the pitch we are a Big 6 Club

Turnover.
Revenue.
UK Fan base
Global Fan base
Social media following
Stadium
Major trophies (despite the drought of the last few decades)
Attendance records
Historic firsts (double, European trophy)

The list goes on. So aye, we definitely are a Big 6 Club

USMNT are perking up, no? Seems to have won a few on the bounce including a very impressive win against Uruguay.

Poch takes time with his teams. Chelsea were perking up under him and so were we after his first season.

PSG was never “right” for him but even then he wasn’t an entire failure, no more so than several top coaches. Things haven’t worked out there until they decided to abandon the Galactico approach and go with a proper team philosophy.

We are shit.

We deserve to be where we are.

The denial about this is just mad.

None of these players get into Poch's starting 11.

No fight, no pride, no bottle.

It's so basic and obvious.

It’s a mentality issue more than anything else.

We should have at least gotten a draw against PSG, we smash Man City no matter how good they are and normally beat United but the second we play a derby or any team that likes a physical match we seem to fall apart. There is a softness at the club that only briefly left under Poch and Redknapp.

Changing a culture takes time. The club for good and bad is a reflection of Levy. In 3-5 years it will become a reflection of the Lewis kids and whatever they might be.

And the biggest of the lot...bar last season, we've been finishing in the top 6 for years on end (there was an 8th place finish as well)

I’d take Klopp over Poch but whenever people dismiss Poch they always come up with managers far less proven and more risky, even the better names like Iraloa or Xavi are this. If Frank fails we can’t have another let’s see if they can hack it manager.

I'm still Frank in, but fuck me, no way I want that Ange guy back.

I'll go Frank out if we're in bottom third after Christmas and it's still shite.
I admire your patience. I would share it if I saw a smidgen of potential in Frank. I just don't. I think he started off timid and is getting more conservative with each passing game. I'll be delighted if I am wrong.

Yeah it does sound like he's making an absolute mess of his opportunity at a bigger Club. But some of these players want him gone, no doubt.

Those latest updates are wild - if accurate.

Lose the next two and he's gone imo.

There's just too much going wrong. If we can get someone else in to get a grip of the players and get back to basics we should do it.

Not good normally when we do this it’s when a managers time is done. Poch ‘training is to hard’ Jose ‘doesn’t work on fitness’, AVB ‘training is to easy’.

It’s pathetic .. I swear for a while we had a weird run of ‘training under x is too hard!’ followed by a new hire and ‘training under x is too easy..’

It’s usually the start of an inevitable end for a Spurs coach when the cycle starts. But I wish they’d shut the fuck up.

I’m so fucking sick of seeing the same fucking leaks and whines in the press every single time we run in to trouble under a manager.

It’s the same shit every time. Fuck off whining to the press.

The classic 'sources close to the club' is unverified bollocks, it's easy to write stuff like this as a journo because it's fucking obvious that the players look confused because we'r not playing well.

What a great summary. We've been sacking managers since 2019 because the team just keeps getting worse and the club and some supporters seem to be in complete denial that our players have also gotten much worse. There are people on here saying this is the strongest spurs squad EVER. In reality, it's probably the 7th best spurs squad in the past 7 years. It really doesn't matter if player #21 is stronger now than in 2019. This is probably the worst group of forwards we've had in 20 years. There are almost no current matchwinners in this squad. And our 2 closest are CBs.

Someone out there can definitely do better than what Frank is doing. But there's a good chance we can't get that someone and even if we could, we wouldn't select them.
Why cant we get better than Frank. It pisses me off no end that we have fans who think we're a crappy little club. 95% of managers would want this job. It's one of the biggest jobs in football. So yes, there is definitely a lot of managers out there who can do better than Frank and majority of them are attainable.
