What philosophy ? Throw ins and long punts up field to no one and just keep crossing the ball in the box expecting CR7 to be on the end of them!
I agree with you if the picture is the same after the season. But implementing a new philosophy takes time, meaning that if the players are not comfortable with it yet, they will fall back on simple methods, e.g. long punts.

It's as if the players have no responsibility for any of it. Bunch of useless pricks the ones out there not even bothering to lay a glove on teams/players that are hammering them and showing them up for the mediocre players they are.
Never disliked my team as much as I do now, there really isn't one of them I would be disappointed if they left the club. I'm at the burn it all down and start it again kind of mood

It’s why I’m not in as much rush to jettison Frank as others. I think there is a lot of firefighting going on and he doesn’t trust the players. Unfortunately I think that feeling is reciprocated.

He’s worked out players like Tel and Johnson arent good enough. He’s realised he can’t rely on Sarr not to give the ball away all the time. I suspect he will play Bentancur less once he has other alternatives like Gray playing themselves fit and into form.

He needs more game ready players to step into the team. I think back to the Redknapp days when he got given players like Palacios, kranjcar, gudjonsen, Keane and Defoe in January windows and hope we have that kind of experience bought in January.

How involved for better or worse, was levy involved in the summer transfer window
Will we only see changes for the better ( who ever the manager is )
Later down the line
If levy had a negative affect on our transfer business
We need to a couple of post levy transfer windows

It's not.

It's a quality issue.

Playing Chelsea and Woolwich so close together has exposed how far off it this group is.

Reece James and Declan Rice are at the age & level Kane and Son once were for Spurs.

We have no players in that bracket now.

VDV could get there but I doubt he will do that in a Spurs shirt under Thomas fucking Frank.

He will have to leave Spurs on the same well trodden path of Carrick, Modric, Berbatov, Bale and Kane if he wants to get to that level.

Levy has absolutely fucking killed us with his wage constraints and selling the best players rather than building on them.

Only the wankers stay in the long run because they can't do any / much better than Spurs and the shitty level Levy pitched us at for 24 years.

What Poch achieved was a fucking miracle under the constraints placed upon him by the cunt Levy.

This

The results aren’t as bad as they seem, only 6 points separate us from 3rd, and the whole league is incredibly competitive this season.

That said, getting a result against Newcastle is crucial. If we lose there, it could mark the beginning of the end for Frank, especially if he struggles to string together 2-3 wins in a row after that game.

My target for this season was 65 points and top 8 so there’s still room for trial and error.

Let’s not forget, this same team finished 17th last year. I don’t understand why we're acting like they've suddenly got some sort of actual standards to live up to, lol.

And this.

I think we need to hear from Vinai in the next couple of weeks to address some of this btw. Either in person or through the media.

We all want to win but there’s a long way to go to sort this club out. I’m not sure it happens without a new set of owners fwiw.

And there goes the leaks , he is as good as done , trouble is we go back to the manager merry go round but nothing really actually changes , we are fucked!!!

But this is why we can’t sack him. The players need to be shown who is boss. If Frank can’t do it then the owners need to address the squad. Tell them they are behind the manager and they have to pull their socks up and get on with it or they will lose their cushty little lives and be sold as soon as viably possible

Completely agree. Last season's 17th finish is simply being used to shield Frank's performance should things take a nose dive. Frank needs to be assessed on his own merits, not what the guy before him did.

If he is starting to lose the dressing room, but the management want to stick with him, perhaps that should be conveyed to the players. In private.
The thing is, we are 7 goals worse off, conceded 2 more and have 2 less points than at this point last season.

Yes, injuries to some key personnel but the style of play is not indicative of progress. Using last seasons 17th place finish - when the last five games had no bearing on anything - to try and mask some sort of progress when you are performing worse than the previous guy isn’t the flex he thinks it is.

I’m not sure where the points come from in the next five matches either, which means we could have 18 points around the halfway point.

We aren’t getting change from Newcastle or Liverpool, who finally dropped Salah. Forest away will be tricky too. Palace will be a tough match and you’d think Brentford, especially at ours, will be keen to do Frank. And we play them twice in the next sequence, away on NYD. Imagine losing twice to Andrews in quick succession…

Football looks pretty dreadful. But we all know the job to rebuild the entire fabric, culture, staff, squad and infrastructure at the club is huge. At some point we have to back someone to sort it out. Or we’ll be changing managers every 1-2 years for eternity and getting nowhere for it. It’s fucking miserable right now. But sacking Frank would achieve nothing.
Yep, I think a lot underestimate the huge problem we have.

You could parachute Pep in and I reckon we’d be back where we are after a dozen games.

Club is broken.

The press make out were scum of earth fans. Easy target and its ok to bash tottenham. Wankers. Look at Chelsea fans in Paris underground. Didn't Woolwich fans even attack their own aftv channel at everton a few seasons ago. End of day Frank needs to improve or he's out the door.
I’d take zero notice of what the gutter press publish. They can’t be trusted to print anything objective or truthful.

Most interviews I’ve seen with ex-pros and pundits has been pretty balanced with them seeing both sides - don’t like the boos and think it very rarely provides anything positive, but understanding the frustration of being served up the dross after paying your hard earned.

Not many people thought he was a terrible manager at Brentford
At there wasn’t many people saying that is was a terrible appointment
People saying there is more pressure
I think there are so many underlying problems at the club
That we are completely unaware of

He was a bad appointment from the beginning and he needs to go. Bad football with no trophies is what he delivers.

Ange should never have been sacked. Forget about the 17th finish. Ange forfeited the league and chose to finish that low because he knew that was the only way in order to win the Europa league. He was given 4 18 year olds last Summer which made it impossible to compete in multiple competitions.

If they kept Ange and he had another pre season with 3 or 4 of his signings we would be top 4 for sure. Under Ange our best football was elite but we were just inconsistent which was normal when rebuilding. The players loved Ange and his football and they had completely bought in. Just look at all the social media posts when he got sacked from the players. The reaction was rare.

Frank is lost, his tactics belong in the 90’s. In saying all that, he might deliver 16th but with no trophy….

All about opinions, but no one will convince me , we getting top four under ange
Not matter what happens

I think it’s the majority of the so called leadership squad , Plus when you have a team that can lose over 20 premier league games in a season you need to start questioning their mentality!

I believe we’d be seeing very different football if madders hadn’t been injured.

We severely lack anyone with forward vision to pick a pass.

Xavi isn’t up to it atm.
I’m not so sure , I think Frank came here and wanted to sort the defence out first which is actually pretty sound logic and the way we started it looked like he had done that , that thing is it looks like he has been to scared to be more offensive , I don’t think it can just be down to one player , it’s like with Frank the sole aim is to not concede and hope we get a set piece goal - he even said himself to not take risks is to take risks , I really hope he proves me wrong as I’d love for him to be a success here but I just think the expectations here are to much for him.
