I think it’s the majority of the so called leadership squad , Plus when you have a team that can lose over 20 premier league games in a season you need to start questioning their mentality!

As I said last season and this. They hid behind Ange. He was a lot to blame last season for, which we’ve all discussed to death. But the players hid. We got the bullshit apologies but they kept making mistakes and letting us down. The same thing has continued this season with them coming out apologising. It’s PR, face saving bollocks. The club should stop it. All it does is breed an excuses culture.

It is easy to say sack the manager but the football has been horrendous since the 3 nil defeat to Fulham in March 2024. We’d smashed Villa 4 nil away from home the week before but all of a sudden the wheels came off. They haven’t been put back on since then. The football has been shit, in the main, since then. Trouble is, memories are unbelievably short nowadays. It seems fans have forgotten how bad we have been. Now something’s rotten in the state of Denmark.

Have to be honest I think his tactics are crap. Chucking balls in the box and no attacking patterns. Can't see him lasting tbh.
I honestly do wonder if he’s picking the tactics to match the players.

Who do we have that has looked anywhere near capable of picking up the ball in the final third and progressing it effectively into their box?

We surrender possession far too easily in the final third.

You know who's kicking their heels at the moment?

It was right for Ange to be sacked but at least we were comfortable in possession under him. The players are capable of keeping possession but under Frank it's gone out the window. There is no attacking interchanges, killer passes or guile. I think hes tried 2 or 3 types of tactics last 3 games and we've lost all of them. Think the players have lost faith with him tbh.

Frank has been a disappointment thus far. I don't see any need or basis to dispute that.

He hasn't created stability, which I would translate to a measure of control on the pitch. Not flashy football because Frank does not give the impression his teams play like that, but functional capability. Absent.

There appears to be disharmony within the players which is a surprise but it's apparent and it can't support togetherness on the pitch.

Talk of Frank sussing out Tel and Johnson as not being good enough just talks to personal viewpoints and makes no sense when those he is picking are performing so poorly.

It's nothing to do with the club being broken neither, but it is continuing from last season's PL struggles and beginning to break the fans.

I have no idea whatsoever how this pans out. None whatsoever.

The board should back Frank but I am not sure why or for how long, with January's window looming. To keep Frank in post, and separating the cost of paying him (and staff) off is secondary to the price of being relegated, and anyone who disputes that possibility is being a bit naive.

To retain Frank into the New Year, there needs to be real confidence that backing him with more signings will see on-field improvements. Or we acquire players in preparation regardless. We need additions.

A whole squad without a player who provides a spark and yet with so much spent, beggars belief, but that's where we are.

Like last season however, the squad is not so bad as to not be able to beat certain teams at our ground, and more generally the lack of anything coherent is an indictment and if the next 5 games yield less than 6 points, is surely unsustainable

Club must come first.

Who do we have capable of a killer pass?

Romero maybe, but you can’t have your CB as your primary playmaker.

Guile? A lot of the players don’t have the stones for a fight!

Some of you keep harping at 17th 17th 17th.

We are now 12th, could be 13th after loss to barcodes, 15th if Everton and Fulham do the unthinkable and win both their games.

We only reached 12th last season at MW 18, we are now only MW 13. We fell to this low 5 games earlier.

We only reached 15th last season at MW 22, we could reach 15th if games went against us, at MW 14. We could fell to this low 7 games earlier. That's almost a fifth of the season early in head start crashing down the abyss.

By MW 33 last season, all relegation candidates were confirmed. That's 5 games before the season ended. Even at MW 32, 32 or even 30, Ipswich had to win almost all their remaining games (probably impossible) and us almost losing all our games (probably impossible too but more probable than Ipswich's mission, I'll give it to that), so with almost 6-8 games to spare we had no danger of relegation at all no matter how some of you wish to spin it.

Now I don't even wish to compare our last manager vs Frank here. The above context is to illustrate how piss poor and more measurable of a danger we could really be of touching distance this season. The table doesn't lie. The earlier the season we were down at the bottom of the bottom half this season, the more probable relegation becomes than last season, because we are far too nearer in points to the bottom 3 than we ever were, ever will be, compared to last season.

Then to bring back at MW 33, we were at 16th, relegation safe, nothing to play for in the league, but ALL to play for in the Europa, any sane manager would have kept all eggs in the Europa basket. Logically any manager really would, Poch would, Conte would, Mourinho would. Frank, for all his extreme pragmatism, definitely would.

Getting 17th last season was almost by choice, a deliberate choice knowing a cup win could be the exchange. And you know the alarming thing of this whole scenario? Before we could even afford to make this choice at MW 13 last season, we were bad, but we are way worse now, all with much less hope of advancing far to any of the competitions we are in because now we can really lose to anyone.

The difference is that Ange had a season and a half before it happened. His time here was a relatively progressive decline, taking on a top 5 side and turning it into a 17th place finish. The decline was a symptom of things not improving.

You're writing off a manager who is, essentially, trying to recover from that decline.

If it were Poch here, people would be coming up with all sorts to justify this - "same squad that finished 17th" "time to change the mentality" etc

Frank took on those supporters, calling the booing 'unacceptable', branding them 'not true fans' and he has risked his already strained relationship with them becoming even more tense.

And he has now compared Tottenham to his first managerial role in Denmark: "This is on another scale, of course, but more like my first job in Brondby if you compare some of it.

"Brentford was in a different way, no doubt about that. You can say there is always a challenge when there are big expectations. No problem with big expectation if you have also earned the right to really compete for those big expectations, which I think it’s fair to say we haven’t done.

"I said it near the start that we have not been able to compete in a cup tournament, Europe and the Premier League in the last six years."

What on earth is he talking about? He is just saying we should not demand better than the shite he is serving up. Such excuse ridden nonsense you would only hear from unambitious teams.
