Player Kevin Danso

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

don't want to associate appearances/aesthetic in any way, but he reminds me of what Davinson Sanchez was supposed to be. Big, strong, and reliable player. He doesn't have a particularly unique style about him, or a standout attribute (unlike Romero, VdV, Verts, or Toby) but is just like an 8 out of ten all around. Seems like he;s doesn't really have the kind of erratic headless chicken mode than Sanchez had.
I would say like a more imposing Ben Davies, but Ben has always had a total random wander up the pitch to suddenly be a random midfielder like Verts.

None of this is a bad thing - I've been a big fan of him since he came in. Another one of those players who you know exactly what you're getting from him, even it he's not destined to be world class

This Davo comparison is right, but far too flattering. They both have no idea what to do with a ball at their feet, and are easily put into trouble by pressing forwards when it arrives to them.

He was terrible and unlike Danso its a closer indicator of what he is as a player. Danso is living the classic life of the understudy we dont see his best game because he isn't getting loads of game time to get his game flow.
I think defensively he is decent but on the ball he’s hopeless. I don’t understand why he wants to drive into space with the ball. He has no picture in his head what he’s going to do and drives into space then panics when the space closes up and gives the ball away. He should get it and his options are to his right back, left centre back or centre mid. If they aren’t on the just lift in behind the opposition left centre back and left back then squeeze the game up. If he does the basics well every time then he can be a good back up.

I really like Danso. He’s a good defender and capable in most situations, the shame is that the situations where he is mostly not capable are the positions that top 6 teams are meant to find themselves in. Wolves would likely be better off with him. We are no better off with him, unless we compare to the CB dynamics of Davies and Gray.

That's a coaching issue stop allowing players to play against their types. Keep the remit clear and strict. But he will never be able to just be his best without regular football. That was another indicator as to what a unicorn King was. He could be out for months or weeks and you could drop him into a semi or quater final away at Anfeild or something and he'd be personally flawless.

Just another victim of squad management.

He's a decent 3rd/4th CB, but not when your best 2 players are your CBs and the rest of the positions are mostly shit. Even though he is serviceable, there is an inevitable drop-off when he replaces Romero or VdV, and there is no one else on the pitch to make up for it.

So perfect for us then!
I got pelters when I said Mason Milea looked the player to fire us out of the Champo.
jose mourinho whatever GIF

lols the other day people were slating Romero for giving the ball away against PSG, some even want him sold and yet everyone will welcome him back in the team by the sounds of it in here.
