IMO in terms of minutes played at Rangers he's having an 'ok' season rather than a great season, as even when he starts he usually doesn't complete 90 mins. Stats so far

SPL - 6 starts 5 off bench , 2 goals, 1 assist, 497 mins
League Cup - 2 starts, 1 off bench, 1 assist , 194 mins
CL qualifier - one off bench, 20 mins
EL - 2 starts, subbed on 3 times, 202 mins.

So a total of 913 mins after roughly half a season.

There will be no europe in 2nd half of season, but there will be SFA Cup - so might have played 1,800 mins for the season. He played 812 mins in Spurs first team last season as a reference point

Is it enough to be in Spurs first team squad next season or is another loan inevitable ?
Said a while ago loans are as much about the narrative as anything else, minutes alone don't really tell the story. Moore took a bit of time to get going but he's doing very well at the moment. Too early to say whether he'll need another loan.

Vuskovic - Doing well, stay at HSV.
Moore - Doing well, stay at Rangers.
Solomon - who cares.
Devine - Doing well, can't recall because of buy option so stay at Preston.
Veliz - Doing okay, stay at Rosario with hopes of a sale.
Phillips - Doing well, stay at Stoke.
Yang - Not great but getting chances so stay at Pompey.
Lankshear - Not great but also getting chances so stay at Oxford.
Donley - Not being given chances, recall and reloan to Championship.
Abbott - Was doing well before injury, stay at Wycombe
Dorrington - Recall and reloan to League One.
Hall - Doing well, stay at Notts.
Ajayi - Not quite ready for that level, recall and reloan to League Two.

Luka Vuskovic at Hamburg started 13 league games played 1,170 mins scoring 2 goals - no games in cups or europe so playing mainly once a week but playing 90 mins in all games he started..

Still aged 18 (19 in Feb(

Given Xavi Simons start at Spurs has been less than stellar and we do not know how quickly Dejan Kulusevski might be back to form after a lengthy time out after his kneecap operation, would you be tempted to recall Donley asap to train with first team as a no 10 to see if he might make a back up no 10 for 2nd half of season.

The one thing he has over Simons is Donley is used to dealing with the physical side of the game and is 21 in January and whilst he hasn't played at top level, he's got both Championship and Belgian League experience, and has looked fine playing in first team in preseason so knows many first team players. Lacks speed but excellent ball delivery (as Pep found out).

Sending him to another Championsip loan is a lottery on playing time .

We do care about Solomon as he is worth money. Not getting a lot of game time at Villareal but reports in Leeds local press that they might try and get him back in January. Last season 10 goals and 12 assists for Leeds. How about a loan with obligation to buy if they stay up. Around 15m sounds ok . We only ever bought him to sell him.

I would just send him out to another Championship club, there were a few in for him in the summer. You don't go from a key player in great form at a promotion chasing League One club with great cameos in the cups against higher div teams to completely unusable in the Championship. Realistically he won't get minutes with us, he would be where Dane is.

If Leeds had offered £15m for him after the loan to them , Spurs would have bitten their hands off

Dane's in a ridiculous position - over this season and 2nd half of last season he's played about 60 minutes with a couple of goals and assists.

This season Tel has played 400 odd minutes but his goal involvement stats are same or perhaps slightly poorer than Dane in his 60 minutes He joined from Bayern with a good reputation and had scored a few in season before last for them - but he hardly played in 6 months before he arrived on loan, didn't do much in 6 months on loan at Spurs and nor this season. I do wonder if he's the better candidate on loan to Roma or other overseas club where he might recover the form he had 2 seasons ago at Bayern before his value plumets.

Dane came on playing on left to win a penalty which Richarlison blasted over (Copenhagen) so although a centre forward he can be a left wing sub candidate given our left wing candidates....... and possibly not worse than Tel who is not goood enough to be a starter at 9 or LW either.

Dorrington not in squad today and Manor unused sub.
MM did 90 and got booked. Lost 2-1 to table toppers Hearts.
Rangers 12 points off the top with a game in hand.

I appreciate the minutes issue but even getting the odd 10-15 minute cameo with that wand of a left foot could be a difference maker given lack of aforementioned creative players. Hes a free spot in Europe too.

The only alternative would be a Champ club that gave an absolute guarantee of him starting every game (which is unlikely to materialise)

It's a nice idea but wouldn't actually happen

Oxford goal tally of 22 goals scored is the fourth-worst in the division with on-loan 20-year-old Tottenham striker Will Lanskhear their top scorer with five goals.

Oxford have won just one of their past 10 games and are two points from safety, having slipped into bottom 3 just 10 days ago.

Rowett was Head Coach for almost exactly 12 months and kept them in Championship last season taking over when they were likely to slip back into League One in their first season back in Championship.

Craig Short joined Oxford as a coach in 2020 and has been Caretaker Coach on 3 occasions and once again becomes Caretaker Coach on Rowett's departure

Big Will on bench. Lanks on late and gets an assist for a cracking winner. FT 2-1.
Phillips starts, Donley on bench. Donley unused, FT 0-0.
Devine on bench. Got 20 mins. FT 0-0.
Yang on bench. Got 10 mins. FT 1-1.
Hall on bench. Hall got 30 mins but both goals against were scored after he came on. FT 0-2.

Thought it might be useful to see Goal Involvements for our loaned out playersthis season, at roughly the half way point :

8 Devine - 3G, 5A (Preston, Championship)
7 Hall - 6G , 1A (Notts County, L2 )
6 Lankshear - 5G, 1A ( Oxford, Championship)
6 Veliz - 6G, 0A (Rosario, Argentina)
5 Moore - 2G, 3A (Rangers SPL)
3 Ajayi - 2G, 1A (Doncasters, L1)
2 Abbott - 1G, 1A (Injured Oct, out for 4 months ?) (Wycombe, L1)
2 Solomon - 1G, 1A (Spain)
2 Yang - 2G, 0A (Portsmouth, Championship)
2 Vuskovic - 2G, 0 A (Hamburg Bundesliga)
1 Donley - 0G / 1A (Hardly playing, and recalled) (Stoke, Championship)
1 Phillips - 0G, 1A (Stoke, Championship)
0 Dorrington (Aberdeen, SPL)

Donley never played in Belgium and his Champo experience is a meagre 4 games for Stoke.

You're thinking of Devine.
