Has VAR Ruined Football?

How tone deaf is this moron? None of us are expecting "perfection", but constant mistakes are made week after week, if the rest of us performed in our own job the way most PL refs perform in theirs, we'd be out the door.
Referees are as arrogant as Weather Forecasters. They all think they're absolutely right ...and most of the time they're not. And when they're wrong, they think it's alright - well it fucking isn't.

I just don't think anyone involved in refereeing have any concept as to what fans want from the game of football.
As we pay for it and it depends entirely on fans, they should feckin listen.

They also seem to really struggle with basic human behaviour.
"We're not going to check that decision as the ref was close enough"
Meanwhile the ref
"I really hope VAR check that one as I don't have the balls to blow the whistle"

Aaaaaand nothing fucking happens

Or

"that brilliant goal needs to be checked for offside, let's spend 7 minutes looking at different angles, drawing lines, changing the colours and flipping coins"

NO!!!!
Just give the goal. If it's not obviously offside, crack on. Football is about goals. We pay money to see GOALS. Stop trying so hard to take them away.

That's the thing that gets me the most, where they spent 10 minutes checking to see if a player's dick was an inch offside.

(Which if he lives up to the stereotype, would be unfair on Kudus...)

Latest BS one for me. Man United Vs Newcastle.
I was actually watching this one live and nearly spat my snickers celebration out when Neville said "it's not handball, because he's pushing the Newcastle player in the back"

What.
The.
Fuck.

And VAR apparently agreed.

WHAT.
THE.
FUCK.

As Souness once said about Neville the football pundit.

The Gift that Keeps on Giving!!

Hate VAR... wish they'd bin it. If it had been implemented as originally envisaged, it might have been ok, but when they ditched the requirement for a 'clear and obvious error' in favour of a five minute forensic examination of whether or not a player's pube was offside, or whether the ball grazed the fingernail of a player looking the other way, they sucked the soul out of the game.

We're left with refs abdicating responsibility and fans unable to celebrate properly without an anxious wait to see if the officials can find a reason to disallow.
