Ex-Spurs Player Brennan Johnson

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Johnson is a good player

He's just not the player we want him to be

At Palace, playing in that inside 10 position they favour, playing on the counter - Wharton picking out his runs into space...

I think he'll suit them very nicely and do really well for himself (and them)

Very good buy for Palace, IMO

Excellent news, I hope this is the start of us being much more ruthless with players.

If someone isn’t good enough then it’s best to move them on while they have value not pray for a miracle. Palace is the perfect club for a player with his characteristics.

“Hero” calm down mate it bobbled off him in a ropey league final, he didn’t score a scorcher in the CL final. Moura is far more of a hero.

He won’t score that many elsewhere either, will just be a backup option.
Yes he's right a "hero".

He will always be remembered for scoring the goal that won us out first European trophy in donkeys years (the goal you hilariously tried to take away from him) and will always be remembered favourably by the majority of spurs fans.

That being said it's probably the right time for him to leave. Frank doesnt rate him and we don't play the type of football that plays to his strengths. He should do well at Palace.

Such a hero. Bobbled off him. Probably barely even knew it happened. Cult ‘hero’ type I guess -more circumstance than talent.

Won’t miss his bumbling or crap, lazy attitude. Hopefully sorts it out at Palace or he’ll end up a journeyman.

I am just so glad I won’t be subjected to watching him play the beautiful game anymore. Painful experience.

And for all the bozos that say I continuously defend him and think he's a world beater...look at my posts on the summer window thread when we were first linked to him and when we signed him.

I said I don't think he's the type of player we need as he's not a winger imo and plays better in a more central position. I said he's more a goalscorer and at the time we needed a threat from out wide that can go past his player.

His first season is where he won me over as he showed there was more to his game. Was one of the highest assisters in the league (which I absolutely did not think he had in him) plus he was getting into really good goalscoring positions but was missing chances. Season after he started bagging goals but that was at the expense of his general play.

Unlike the countless cyber geeks on here that think it's the least bit important that you're right meaning you stand by your opinion despite evidence I accept when I'm wrong. He contributed far more then I thought he would and I wish him well.

Not a massive fan of Johnson, but why with his pace, timing of runs and more often than not his clean striking of a football, he hasn't been played through the middle as a fox-in-the-box type alongside big number 9.The kid is definitely not a winger?

That’s all true but he lacks passion, desire and aggression but has laziness and the ability to hide in bucket loads!

I’ll be delighted when he’s gone!

He was in the position not many winger in the league would pick up...that's what you don't get.

Its hilarious, just a few weeks ago you even had a go at Richarlsion for only scoring from 6 yards. Richarlsion FFS ...the guy that scores all types of goals..halfway line...overhead kicks ...lol...and you had a go after he scored all those various types of goals looool.

My point is that you are someone that just blindly sticks to your pre planned script regardless of what the evidence shows.

Good luck to the lad. I’ve never really seen what he offers in open play, his crossing is shocking , always wondered what he would be like if he played more central.

But he has a knack of being in the right place in the 18rd box.
Will always love him for the goal in the final .
Good luck Brennan
