Any defender who is remotely paying attention can see that the ball is never coming off his left foot. So easy to manage him defensively on that side.
hes even controlling it with the outside of his right instead of the inside of his left, he cuts off so much of the pitch by not doing something as basic as that.

He’s one of our more creative players. On days like this, I’d rather have him trying to break the lines and drive at the defense than Bentancur, Gray, and Palhinha.

What makes you think that? He always puts a shift in and has been good defending a lot of times.
At any sensible club he'd be in a straight fight with Porro for the RB slot rather than being played out of position at LB, and this would motivate both to battle hard to get that starting slot, leading to an improvement in both players physically and mentally
But this is Spurs and we dont do sensible, so instead Porro plays whatever his form is like, and Spence has to play at LB because the club refuse to sign another leftback, promote yoof, use Micky there, or even Davies. So we end up with both flanks looking wank with an RB who cant defend and an LB who is actually an RB therefore cant cross with his left

overrated because he can travel with the ball. Unfortunately doesn’t know what to do with it when he reaches the final third or faced up. No picture in his head of the right pass, timing of it or off the ball run. It’s been the same on the other side so it’s not just about stronger foot. Probably even worse on the right as he can’t carry as well in field.
he’s slacked off defensively too. He used to be far more aggressive up against the winger. Now he’s strolling around like he’s a great player. With him and Kudus on either wing you do see why we struggle so much in possession. I’d sell both personally
