Ex-Spurs Player Brennan Johnson

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Could have used quotes around skills to emphasize what I meant. Having said that, if we’re going to bring in Bobb in his place — reports suggest we’re interested — then the joke’s on me.
City, Chelsea and Woolwich put bang average players in their squads, — Smith-Rowe, Nketiah, Nelson, Broja etc— play them a couple of times in inconsequential matches and get ridiculous fees for them.

At the end of the day, goals win games... yes you need to do everything else right but you wont win unless you score.

True, but it is possible to finish the attack with scoring... if you are completely unable to participate in buildup.

He was, is and always will be a freeloader that is there to finish off others hard work. We are not good enough right now to carry such type of players. So we cashed in.

I think he'd have been better playing as part of a two, so more centrally, his best attributes are shooting and pace.

It's a bit like having Gary Lineker in your team and sticking him out on the wing, and then moving him out of the club because he's not involved enough with other aspects of the game.

The more I think about it the crazier it becomes.

That's how I see it too. He can get into positions to score, and as someone else said, provide assists, surely there is a way the manager can fit him in to the team?

It will be interesting if the game changes to favouring a 2 up front over the next 5 years or so.

On paper this would be where he is the most dangerous On the shoulder getting in front of the defender.

Let’s see what glasner does with him anyway. Palace have only scored 10goals from open play this season. Shite.

I don't know why the club signed him to begin with if they needed a winger. I find it hard to believe the club couldn't find a decent winger who can play well in that position for the same money that was spent on Johnson. Just about everything decent he's ever done for our club is when he's drifted in centrally.

I completely agree, he could feed off through balls or balls over the top, as long as he's not expected to hold the ball up or muscle it our against Centre Backs. I also think he'd be good playing with a stronger CF like Solanke who could win headers in his direction.

£35million for a bj

all the best to him
(except when he plays vs spurs )

Time is going to tell whether it was a hasty if not necessarily incorrect decision but right now we have lost the goals and assists Johnson provided for something unknown.

It's only worth it if what we get is Johnson's goals plus greater assists. If not, it's another piece of fcukwittery.

And yes, agreed.

Fuck me, our players are as weak as piss.

Sell the unhappy ones. They are probably the same ones happy to dole out substandard performances and go home crying to their agents because the fans boo them.
Like I said, it's been way too comfortable here.

A lot of bad habits have formed.

Cry-baby multi-millionaires who've had it way too cushty.

Now become too big for their boots.

"Not gone down well in the dressing room" lol

Who tf do they think they are???

You're paid to train and perform, not give feedback on transfers.

Fuck off.

Shut up and focus on being better fucking footballers.

How about that.

Just do that.
