They've brought in a system manager who doesn't have the players, or players who understand that style. He'd need at least a preseason and 5 players. Absolutely shocking appointment which was doomed from the start.

Very much like the Ange and Forest appointment.
And yet ONeil is a dinosaur who hadn't managed for what? 10 years? And was a busted flush about the time he stopped working...

..
And had them rocking

The booing aimed at Frank is truly shocking, we've been shit for the last season and a half but the person we want to put this all on is a new manager 6 months in?!

Sack him then start booing a new manager as soon as he is through the door. Yeah because any decent manager is gonna wanna come here aren't they.

I get the frustration but seriously some fans need to give their heads a wobble.
Your in the minority but you will find a friend in CJJ. He likes dull, attritional, unimaginative football too.

We really didn't play that well first half.
A few half chances created mainly by good pressing other than that we did little else.

Second half Frank tried to sit back and hold the win, he failed.

Only that we did play a good first half.

I dont think they had a shot to show for.
I mean, sure, we could have created more clear-cut chances. But lets not expect miracles from that kind of midfield and forward line. We did enough in 1st half to win the game without any doubts if another similar 45 mins would have followed.

Unfortunately in 2nd 45 the story was very different.

Who would be your manager choice?

Levels better than Frank

Celtic went from dogshit form under Rodgers, to 8 wins in 9 under O'Neil, to their worst managerial start ever under Nancy.

This idea that a manager can't turn a teams form around without 'time' needs to stop.

Exactly. Its incredibly underrated how much human connection can impact a group of players.

A lot of it is down to intangibles.

Sure, implementing a long term vision of the way a coach wants to play can take time but we need to identify a style of football the Club wants to follow and hire coachs that fit the style.

That's the way forward.

Frank won't ever be that man imo, Just look at how he wants us to play. Even with better players we'll be a tough watch, albeit we'll pick up more results

Yup, especially if Poch is coming back, I can’t imagine 2 managers more philosophically opposed.
It'll be the absolute height of stupidity to back this muppet in January. We're not getting relegated because of the shite 3 teams that will go down. This is just last season again, caveat that with, without missing all of the players at once to injury and a European Cup run to look forward to.

I'm happy with just writing this season off if he's guaranteed to be gone. I've just checked out now, can't bring myself to watch it anymore. But two seasons finishing firmly in the bottom half will hurt the bottom line, which is all that matters to the ownership, so I think they'll act soon. I'd take a a caretaker that will set some fundamentals of functioning football again.

Legit question. Who on our team can you see scoring the goal brobbey did today?

Certainly not richarlison, Odobert, Tel.

We are very behind in the player department and it’s a worry. Looking at managerless Chelsea, they’ve got Cole Palmer and Reece James, Enzo, Estavao, all become our best player alongside VdV. Pedro Neto is better than all our wingers.

It’s dire. We are well off and maybe havent even hit bottom.

I'd go Xavi

A gamble, for sure, but massive upside if it works

If not him, someone like him. Someone plays to win, attacking possession based football, high tempo/intensity, someone who can build and for us to get behind...
It won't happen, can you see Xavi getting anymore out of that front 4 today? Richy can't trap a bag of cement, let alone a football. Tel and Odebert are far too weak for this league.

Don't get me wrong, I'm hardly excited or thrilled with what's going on at the moment on the pitch but this rot at the club has been a long time coming.

He didn't go in and do anything ground breaking. Just had them go out and play, and feel good about it. Should've kept MON for at least the season.

These guys, like Frank and Nancy are overly complicating everything and the players aren't bought in with their small club mentality style of playing.

Que? I'm not avid enough to give a shit what people's takes are on this forum as if opinions are static. But if you're insinuating Frank is shit therefore Ange did well, ok mate. Deluded. Ange was awful. So far, so is Frank.

No, I’m saying Frank didn’t have some insurmountable task.

Our Prem form was terrible because of the worst injury crisis I’ve ever seen and then they made sure relegation wasn’t possible against Brentford and sacked off the league,

Ange paid for the injuries and the decision to prioritize the league. He wasn’t good enough and too limited tactically.

Frank is worse and doesn’t jibe with the fan base.

I think Xavi (or alike) would have the team playing in a shape that means whoever is on the ball has passing options

We have runners, create space and chances

Press high and get transitions in the opposition half

No guarantee of players converting chances, but we'd be much more coherent and create chances more reliably
