Match Bournemouth vs Spurs - Wed, Jan 7th @ 7:30pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Well I guess being as we finished 17th last season 13/14th should be seen as progress :ange-hands-head:
Also talking of the 90's we always used to turn up to a NLD , we can't even say that anymore!
Yeah its not just this season, its been diabolical for 20 months solid now bar the Europa win. I cant be arsed to find out but our league record since that 3-0 defeat to Fulham in Postecoglous first season must be a sight to behold.

I can’t wait for the numbness to set in around20:00 on Wednesday night. Just staring at the tv knowing I won’t have to get excited and jump up. I just want him gone. We all know this won’t be great and maybe we can win but all it will do is cover the cracks. The positives if we don’t get beat will be 4 games unbeaten against piss poor teams. We’ve just taken 5 points from Palace,,Brentford and Sunderland. We are a fucking mess. That’s where we are now!

Not looking forward to this one, Bournemouth looked very good versus Scum - constantly pressing them into uncomfortable backwards passes or hopeful long balls.......the type of terrible football we are playing of our own volition

Going for a draw. 1-1.

After 21 games would be 7-7-7 which just about sums us up.
Is that consistently inconsistent or inconsistently consistent?

Calculating Figure It Out GIF

Maybe if we play Vicario up front, Richarlison in goal...

...we'll get the ball into the opposition box 50 times a game and Richarlison wont be offside?!

This game is right up Frank's Street tbh. Away from home against a mid table team

Won't be surprised if we cheese a 0-1 with the worse football you could possibly imagine.

One goal, 0 shots on target. ( We score from an own goal via a corner)
:sarrthink:

Its a sign of where we are that i cant see anything but 2 lacklustre defeats in the next 2 games. So that will be 13th/14th in the league and out of both domestic cups by mid January. Maybe its my memory playing tricks but even in the really grim days of the 90s/early 00s i dont remember it feeling quite so hopeless.

Nothing like it.

We’ve just won a European trophy and are consistently one of the biggest football clubs in the world in terms of revenue.

Just made some incredibly poor management choices since 2019 with no real connect between management and recruitment.

Our financial position means it can be fixed.

Every prem club has more money than back then and all in any chasing pack are restricted by FFP to an extent, even us. We really need a whole new team or close to it. In 99 we won a league cup and were still a big club but it didnt stop the next 6 years being rubbish.

I agree on the poor choices since 2019 in terms of managers, DoF and signings but what evidence is there that this will improve anytime soon?

Like others have said, I find myself in the unaccustomed position of being completely apathetic about this game. No sense of anticipation. No excitement. Not even any anxiety. I just can't generate any enthusiasm for what is being served up to us game after game. We could lose but we'll possibly come away with a dull, lifeless, enervating draw, or could sneak a dull, lifeless, enervating 0-1 win. Meh! The Frank tenure has finally broken me.
